We involve our employees in the Company's environmental, health and safety activities, and each individual employee is responsible for making proactive efforts to continually improve environmental, health and safety conditions. This focus is also reflected in the Group's in-house course 'From cow to shoe' which contains a presentation of ECCO's environmental, health and safety initiatives. This part of the course often provokes a lively and constructive discussion and excites many ideas for future activities based on our employees' extensive experience.

"Absolutely fantastic shoes. Unless you are more concerned with style than comfort as they are not exactly the height of fashion.I have had a pair of these shoes for about a year now and have worn them in sub zero temperatures and in the tropics. Everything that the makers claim is true. Some of my collegues thought I was mad wearing "heavy" black shoes in temperatures of 40 + degrees centigrade but the goretex lining works well and I did not feel my feet overheating. the same applies to cold weather my feet remained nice and warm in temperatures of -10. I have also walked hundreds of miles in these shoes with no problems. Occasionally 20-30 miles a day. The price has increased a lot since I purchased mine but I will definately be buying another pair. Even at this price they are well worth the money. Especially if you are on your feet for long periods.One other small bonus is that the tread pattern has eight small suckers in the centre of the foot and on smooth floors like marble there is a light suction effect which greatly reduces the chance of slipping, especially if the floor is wet.
