Cruelty-free, vegan purses from diverted landfill

Echoes in the Attic designs and makes rescued remnant fashion & home accessories from the 'discard pile of life.'
Our wonderful eco-conscious donors divert their off-cuts, remnants & sample fabrics from the landfill and we turn their 'leftovers' into gorgeous, one of a kind or one of a few handbags, totes, laptop bags and whatever else our creative hands can come up with. Large companies are beginning to sport large eco-initiatives, and thankfully so. Companies like Robert Allen Fabrics, Ethan Allen Furniture, and the internationally known Global Group who make most of the office furniture we buy around the world, are finding us. Boxes, pounds and reams of sample fabrics and beautiful material arrive on our doorstep, fill the back of our cars and my partner's basement-come-workshop.
Every gal needs a good, reliable, beautiful, pocket-plenty handbag so why not one that's made with gorgeous fabrics from designer companies side-stepping the landfill.
Our little cottage industry is busting at the seams due to growing attention on the effect we humans are having on our environment. We started out with a few orders and as of 3 years of dedication to what we believe is a grand effort, Echoes in the Attic is now in over 50 stores across Canada, we have 8 e-tailers and our own webstore. We're amazed daily by our little company's growing popularity and hope that you'll enjoy checking us out. Remember what mom always said, "don't throw that out, it's perfectly good!"

Echoes eco-goodness

reuse, recycle, refashion

It's hard to imagine that Echoes' collection of re-purposed accessories was once a lowly pile of discarded off-cuts or soon-to-be-tossed samples. In fact, most people can't believe the spot-on, trend-setting line is made from reclaimed fabrics.

The win/win chain down the line is simple: donated fabrics take the weight off the landfill, keep costs down so retailers can offer recycled options at obscenely low prices, and a Canadian business keeps hand-made craftsmanship alive while remaining viable and lucrative.
