Eco Friendly Kids Birthday Party Ideas and Games

If you are looking for some inspiraton for a green birthday party for your child.... here it is!

Here are some eco friendly birthday party ideas for kids. 


  1. Take a tour of an organic farm, a dairy farm or an orchard.

  2. Hold a Japanese tea ceremony and teach kids how to roll fruit and veggie sushi.

  3. Girls can get makeovers with natural mineral makeup, then top off their looks with manicures and pedicures using nontoxic nail polish.

  4. Start the party at dusk. Set up tents in the backyard, tell spooky stories, gaze at the stars and identify constellations. For treats, have kids make their own organic s'mores and trail mix. Older kids can have a sleepover in the tents.

  5. Use Cloth table covers instead of plastic.

  6. Send electronic invitations.

  7. Print invites on recycled paper or on paper that is made from sustainable materials (not trees)

  8. Create a registry list of eco-friendly gifts that your child would appreciate such as wood toys, cloth dolls, laptop lunch boxes, klean kanteen bottles, etc.

Cute ideas. One we like is posted on our website, ecosvvykid.com. Jamie my 7 year old loves to hold parties at our local nature center. We are particularly fond of the "building a fairy home" party.
