Eco Friendly Skin Care- Why Go Green?

To have a truly eco friendly skin care product, you have to adopt a holistic philosophy to the whole process and this starts with the sourcing of the product. Obviously these will be natural products such as herbs, plants, essential oils, and flowers which should be totally sustainable. These are generally only sourced from fair trade co-operatives,so the farmers and the farm workers are paid a decent wage. They are then hand made in small batches using pure organic ingredients, absolutely no man made chemicals, and packaged in bio-degradable packaging. I have read that some packaging even come with seeds contained within, so when discarding, the packaging can be buried in your garden or wasteland and will spawn new plants as the packaging bio-degrades.

So after reading how the whole eco friendly skin care process worked I was keen to find out what products are on the market and how good they actually are? After a bit of searching I came across a company called Pangea Organics, founded by Joshua Onysko in 2001. He seems to have a real passion for all things environmental and is truly at the forefront of eco friendly skin care cosmetic design. Everything from facial cleansers to shower gels, through to hand and body lotions are simplistic in their design, but their intricate combinations of ingredients make this a myriad of pleasure for the user. Products such as Pyranese lavender and cardomon, or Egyptian fennel with rosemary and mint are perfectly balanced to soothe and help the skin. They are unisex in design and would be just at home in the bathroom cupboard of a modern metrosexual male as well as any woman.

In my opinion, even if you are not truly passionate about the planet and green issues per say, and don´t give a damn about global warming or the greenhouse effect, We all still want to feel invigorated and smell good when we come out of the shower or bath. So why not try an eco friendly skin care product, and you never know ,we might even see a little bit of the eco warrior in you!
