Crazy Market, Bleak Economy, Prices Soaring

Lots of people believe network marketing opportunities to be scams. There are some opportunities out there that offer things such as Become a Millionaire or Make Money 24 Hours a Day or Instant Success. These may be well intentioned and appeal to people in these uncertain economic times but don't accurately describe the reality. There are some scams in addition to the over zealous recruiters.

Ask questions before you commit to any opportunity. You don't want to sink your hard- earned money into something that you have to pitch to your friends and family or that you are not sure is worth your time. Remember the old saying, "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is." Do your research. Look up everything you can find about this company or opportunity. Use social sites and ask other network marketers if they are familiar with this opportunity. You have to be careful with that one though or they will be recruiting you too.

Ask questions such as those that follow. There are no right or wrong answers. It is up to you to determine what you are looking for in your opportunity.

1. How long has the company been around? Do they have sound financial reports? The last thing you need is to build up a downline and have the company fold and it does happen.

2. What is the product or products? Are they unique? Is the product consumable requiring reorders? What is the competition? There must be a real need for the product or products and they must be priced fairly.

3. How long will it take you to start generating income, and what are the initial start up costs? Start up may not sound like much but may not include necessary advertising money, conference costs, office equipment or supplies, business cards, etc. Sometimes people forget about these extra costs that seem to pop up.

3. How and where is the product being advertised? Are there restrictions on how or where you can advertise?

4. How were you recruited and who is your upline? Was it presented solely as a business opportunity or did the recruiter lead with the product. Most success in network marketing seems to be with those who have first used the product, love it, and then decide to join the opportunity.

5. What kinds of training are available? Is your recruiter committed to YOUR success? If you haven't done network marketing before, it is not easy and you need a clear system or roadmap to follow. Also, it is important to understand that a good network marketing opportunity is NOT a get rich quick scheme.

6. Are you required to keep a minimum inventory? We have all heard about people with garages full of product they could never get rid of.

7. Last but not least: Why are you looking at this opportunity. If it is to get rich, you need to be prepared for years of hard work. If it is not fun for you, it will be much more difficult to succeed.

You've already heard all the economic news from the past few weeks. Guess you really didn't need to though; all you had to do was go to the store or the gas station. Forget buying a house, a car, or any major purchases like that. Credit card bills rising? Can't take money out of your market funds right now-too risky? Don't know how to pay for everything you need?

Maybe you're not there yet but a lot of the population is. So what is the answer? Well, I only know the answer for myself and my solution is to establish another source of income. Because I retired from teaching about 10 years ago, (with 35 years teaching) my age makes it difficult to begin another career. In addition to age as a barrier, we live in a very remote area. It is 12 miles to the nearest town and we have to take snow mobiles in and out during the winter.

Taking these situations into consideration, I decided it would be great to work on the computer from home. While teaching, one of my areas was computers at the post-secondary level. What a surprise-how things have changed.

Okay so now what kinds of things can we do on the computer and internet to make money. And making money online IS the goal. First there are the surveys. Apparently a person can make money filling them out, but you must belong to many different survey companies and it takes quite a long time to make very much. Guess that's fine if you enjoy a mind numbing job. Doing office work at home for land based companies seems like a good alternative but then you have to go out and sell your services and really don't earn very much. There's not much available in our little town either. If you want to go back to school, some doctors and hospitals will hire medical transcriptionists and billing agents who work at home but again you need to go out and sell your services and often need some on the job work before they will let you work at home.

Then there are all the MLM or Network Marketing companies out there trying to recruit you. Many are really good companies with really good products. The problem is that most of them do their marketing by having you, the new recruit, make a list of all your friends and family. Very soon you belong to the NFL-no friends left group. Residual income really sounds good so . . . is there another way to accomplish your goals with a network marketing company without having to go out and "sell" to everyone you meet? In addition, putting all your eggs in one basket with one company may or may not be the best way to secure your fragile financial future in these uncertain times.

Last night, October 9, Robert Kiyosaki had a free teleconference and it was an eye opener. I have had his Prophecy book for about 6 years but didn't take his suggestion of getting into network marketing seriously until recently. For years Kiyosaki has recommended network marketing because it costs almost nothing to get in to and the education received is second to none. Network Marketing provides a superior financial education that few have received in their formal education.

Last night he predicted that following this stock market crash, housing bust, and financial mess, there will no longer be the high paying jobs that we saw before. Jobs are being shipped off to Vietnam and Pakistan.

He asked, "How do you see the future?" Do you have a give up attitude? He said that the depression era mentality is alive and well today. When the going gets tough, most people take a break. People didn't do what was needed before because life was too easy. History shows that there is a depression about every 75 years and this one started around 2005. More multi-millionaires are created during a depression than any other time. So who are these people? What do you need to do today?

Take action today. Buy a franchise if you can or Start a network marketing home-based business but most importantly--take action!

Apply commitment like you never have before. Make a commitment to "Be all you can be."

Prepare to work at this commitment over time.

Be around like-minded people who are moving toward prosperity. Share knowledge to reduce your risk

Understand that the government will NOT save you.

A few other insights he shared are that because of the creation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and the FDIC by the federal bureaucracies, we are still paying for the last depression. Today the government is printing more and more money. In 1971 Gold and Silver were replaced with paper money. Historically this always causes economic volatility. Robert advised to invest not in worthless paper money but in gold and especially silver because silver reserves are at an all time low and silver is used in the manufacture of so many products that we consumers feel we cannot do without.

Robert Kiyosaki does not believe he can magically predict the future but through study any one of us can foresee, based on history, where we are headed. We're not at the bottom yet so start planning NOW. Is now the time for network marketing? Commitment, commitment, commitment.

Finding success in the area of network marketing takes much more than just having hope and believing in your company. Having faith that you will reach your goal may not even be enough alone. Success in network marketing comes from hard work. You can develop a network marketing business if you have a determined mind set.

Many distributors do not realize there are missing aspects and believe it to be unnecessary to the development of their business. The fact is that this aspect is one of the most important keys to for you to develop a successful business in the world of network marketing. This very investment is yourself as an individual.

Short term goals will give you a great start on your path to developing a successful business, but they are not the solution to everything. Short term goals are good to set because you can use them to break down longer term goals. Often long term goals can seem like daunting tasks unless they are broken down into short term goals. The other great thing about short term goals is that you feel a sense of accomplishment when you reach them.

What Do We Mean By Investing In Yourself?

You may not understand what investing in yourself truly means. You must treat yourself with respect and learn to constantly have a desire to improve yourself. This comes along with doing motivational exercises to help you get motivated to reach your goals. Without this it may be almost impossible to reach your financial goals.

A great way to do this is by listening to motivational material on sites such as You Tube. You Tube has hundreds of motivational speeches that can motivate you to be a successful person.
