Does Econscious Meet Its Promises?

Econscious is a new supplier of garments for print-on-demand giant CafePress. Many designers are thus attracted to its promises of clothes made in an environmentally friendly and ethically responsible manner.

But shirts stitched and goods assembled in China and Pakistan under a totalitarian regimes, and shipped halfway around the world? Can that really be environmentally friendly? Is that really ethical?

Econscious Watch doesn't have all the answers, but at least we're asking these important questions.
