Where to Find Affordable Editorial Images

Unlike commercial stock photos which are often used in sales material, editorial photos are commonly used in publications like magazines and newspapers showing current events and famous people.

Traditionally, editorial photos are provided by news agencies or the publishers own photographers. With the advancement of royalty-free agencies, you can add editorial images to your publications, books and blogs for very affordable royalty fees.

Dreamstime is a premier player in the micro-stock industry. They provide editorial images and standard stock images.

The editorial section provides news worthy images from social, cultural and political events. Images downloaded under the Editorial section of the site may be used in magazines, newspapers or any other editorial context, in either printed or electronic media.

Purchasing a license does not transfer the copyright and you may not claim that the image is your own, you may not sell, license for use, or distribute it in any way. Credit line is compulsory. Editorial images are not for commercial purposes and any such usage is against editorial specifications and terms. Images included within the editorial section may include visible logos, or identifiable persons who didn't sign a model release document therefore you are solely responsible for the usage given to such images.
