Educational Toys For Young Children

I have always felt that an Educational Toy was like getting two things for the price of one. Whether the toys are electronic, hands on building, even dolls-enhance the growth of our children. Child development is a process. Toys that are fun with added value learning aspects are useful tools for a healthy environment for children. Some of the toys I will feature are especially good for developmentally delayed children as well. An expert, I am not, however I work with children and observe which toys interest them the most. If I enjoy the toy with them, then that's icing on the cake! Children have more fun if an adult can involve themselves with their play. Learning anything at all with a toy is the goal. From building blocks -to dolls- to electronic gizmos, a child can learn.

What do we want for our children? We want them to enjoy their childhood and learn for a happy future! As you will see, my observation's of children at play and what they learn while playing, requires intelligent choices we make for them.
I also believe that adults can learn so much about children while playing with them. A pleasure for me! There are the oldie but goody toys, and the new and improved electronic things that prepare children for school.
Expectations have ballooned for kids of all ages, especially in school. Educators teach children concepts that in the past, were never taught or considered part of the curriculum. It's up to the parent to provide some education at home in order for these children to keep up, which is why I wanted to spot-light the toys and games I have learned, educate the children while they enjoy it! A perfect mixture.
