Edward Vs Jacob

Well I admit in this picture Edward is cute. Just because I am Team Jacob, doesn't mean I don't think Edward is cute - he is! But...... I think he's cute when he has all that makeup on that he wears in the Twilight movie - not as cute without it. I also prefer him with his American ascent than his real English accent - perhaps I'm just being mean, but that's just my thoughts :)

Of course Edward is one of the two main characters in the Twilight Saga and has all the girls screaming when he comes on the big screen. The gorgeous vampire that Bella falls in love with - a love that shouldn't be but they can't control. The turmoil and drama that these two young lovers go through is what brings the excitement to the movie and has viewers waiting for more.

The first movie finds these two teens in love and facing some dangerous moments, but of course Edward comes out the hero and they live happily ever after....... or do they!

The second move New Moon has a little less of Edward in the movie when he leaves Bella and disappears. This is the time that young Jacob steps into the scene and he has a much bigger role in this movie. Jacob loves Bella and Bella loves Jacob - but only as a friend. Poor Jacob tries hard to win her heart but her heart belongs to Edward and once again they find themselves in each others arms and living happily ever after - or do they!

Eclipse brings along lots of excitement and more rivalry between these two hunks. Edward has Bella but Jacob still loves her and will fight for her. Eclipse brings us a very steamy scene when Bella is almost freezing to death and the only solution is for young Jacob to cuddle her, with his bare naked chest of course, to keep her warm, much to Edwards distaste. But Edward wins out in the end again and gets the girl and they live happily ever after..... or do they!

I'm not going to discuss the Breaking Dawn movie since it hasn't been released yet. I have read the book so I know what happens, but for those who haven't read the book and are waiting for the movie, I won't ruin it for you.

Edward always wins the girl in the first three books/movies - but does that really make Edward the best?

For me - no - he's pale, skinny, has a hairy chest and just doesn't win me over!

That that's what I'm talking about!

Admittedly I'm not too keen on guys with long hair, so although Jacob was pretty hot even in Twilight, the long hair didn't do much for me. But when he got all muscled up and cut his hair - well I could sit and look at that all day long. Even though I'm probably old enough to be his Mother.

Of course Jacob is madly in love with Bella but just can't seem to win her over. He does manage a kiss in Eclipse and a hot and steamy cuddle in the tent. But that's about as good as it gets for Jacob because Bella's heart belongs to Edward.

Obviously Bella is 'Team Edward' and poor Jacob has to settle for being the best friend.

There is some good news on the love side for Jacob in Breaking Dawn - but I won't say anymore than that!

Dark, strong, solid, muscly Jacob - that's more my taste - I'm team Jacob for sure!

He has grown up nicely since his days in Shark Boy and Lava Girl!

I'm watching Twilight - it is on TV tonight. This is one of the most popular pictures or scenes and this is where we are up to in the movie at the moment.

I have seen this movie so many times now but still really enjoy it each time.
So bye for now - I'm off to watch the rest of it!

Have you seen the trailer for Breaking Dawn yet?

I believe it is going to be released later this year (I could be wrong) and I'm not sure if it's true or not but I heard that they are splitting this one into 2 movies. So the first half of Breaking Dawn will be released later this year, with the second half being released next year. Now, I could be wrong with this, but that's what I heard. I'm not sure I like that idea of watching half of the book and then waiting another year or so to watch the next half.

But if that's the way it is then I guess that's the way it is! Could be good in a way, so we can still have another movie to look forward to after the next one :)
