People besieged with stress are unwilling victims of anxiety. This emotional malady is typically characterized by feelings of sadness, inadequacy, and agitation associated with mental and behavioral components. 4. Accentuate the positive.

This is why it is important to look at the brighter side of things and avoid thinking that something bad is going to occur. Positive thinking is one of the ways on how to treat anxiety.

5. Consider cognitive behavioral treatment (CBT).
This is psychotherapy practiced by professional psychiatrists and therapists. The treatment has two main goals: 1. Identifying the patient's negative way of thinking that translate into negative physical manifestations; and 2. harnessing the patient's positive thinking to achieve positive physical results. Professional treatment is a final resort when the situation already escalated to a disorder.
