The Effective Adult Acne Treatment That Worked For Me

There are so many products on the market today that claim to be effective adult acne treatments, that its a surprise that people can still get acne. The truth is, not all products work for everyone, and if you were anything like I was, you may be considering a more natural treatment.

This guide goes over some of the stuff that works well, some of the stuff that doesn't work so well, and some of the stuff that you really should avoid!

Stuff That Works Well

A List Of All The Effective Adult Acne Treatments

The following are steps that you can take today to effectively get rid of acne:

1) Drink 8 glasses of water a day - This is essential, as water helps to flush out all of the nasty toxins from within your body. If you don't drink enough water, then these toxins have to be forced out through the pores in your skin, which often traps them, resulting in acne.

2) Create your own honey mask - This is brilliant as you can do this at home, without having to spend any money on fancy products. Simply take a small bowl, and add a small amount of honey to it (about 5-6 tablespoons). Heat the bowl up for a couple of minutes in hot water, and then simply apply to your face. Seriously, this trick works wonders.

I recommend that you check out the Adult Acne Guide as I have really only skimmed the surface here, and there are plenty more tips available!

Stuff That Doesn't Work Well

Title Says It All Really... :)

The following are solutions which are said to work, but you may want to steer clear off:

1) Constantly washing the affected area - Many people believe that acne is caused by the skin not being clean enough, and therefore washing it often will get rid of it. Unfortunately, this isn't true, and what it is actually doing is removing the natural oils on your skin rather than clearing the pores.

2) Accutane - Accutane is proven to get rid of acne, however it is still considered a high risk drug, and there are many common side effects, such as lip inflammation and dryness of the skin. You should check out some of the methods used in the Curing Adult Acne guide before considering it, as it should really only be used as a last resort.

Stuff That You Really Should Avoid!

Ok, so these aren't ways of getting rid of acne that you should avoid, but rather foods that you should avoid to help prevent acne from getting worse:

1) Cheese, Cream & Milk - I love nothing more than cheese on toast and a creamy coffee in the morning, but to be honest it doesn't do me any good. These foods are known to form toxins, which can cause acne. As said before, if you drink plenty of water, then your body will flush these toxins out, but its best to steer clear of them for a while.

2) Salt - Eh, I hate the stuff. Not only does it lead to blood pressure and heart disease, but it causes acne. Inside salt is iodine, which has been proven to encourage the spread of acne. Don't worry though, following the 6g of salt a day guideline is fine!

So, thats all there is to it!

Just to finish, if you haven't checked out the Adult Acne Guide yet then you really should, as it has tons of information which helped me get rid of my acne within just one week.
