Clean Buildings

The design of the new Mauritius Commercial Bank building is laudable for several reasons. Situated between Quatre Bornes and Ebene Cybercity, it is energy-efficient, uses recycled materials and produces part its energy requirements from solar panels.

I am presenting this building (which will be completed in about two months) as an example of green/clean design, as an example to be followed compared to the many energy-voracious and horrendous buildings mushrooming around the world in big and not-so-big cities.

This is exciting! Especially when a bank goes to the trouble of building efficiencies into their new structure. I'd love to know more about their reasons for making this decision and a whole lot more about the green aspects of the building. How do the solar panels work, for example. Where are they located? Pictures of them? And more about the water systems. Who is the architect? How long did it take to build? I guess I'm overflowing with questions! Thank you for telling us about this amazing structure.
