I knew about tapping for a year before I tried it. I thought the set up statements were just too dumb. I just started doing it one night and all kinds of amazing stuff came out of my mouth! Now it's one of those things like meditation and prayer I know is always there if I don't know what to do, am getting sick or feeling blue.

We've only recently begun to learn about and use EFT. I love it, and have told a few other people about it. Some are more open than others. Thanks for all the great ideas in your lens!

I love tapping because I got rid of my dentist phobia, I even did a lens about it :)
Your lens is the most comprehensive I have seen on the topic , thanks for sharing.

Oh this is a wonderful lens! I love EFT and first learned about it when I lived in Oakland but i can see i have much more to learn from this space. I will share this on my website. I'll let you know when that happens! (and yes i am on facebook and twitter!)
  • seeker117 Aug 9, 2011 @ 6:55 pm | delete
I first heard about it 4yrs ago and I am AMAZED at how it continues to evolve. There are advancements in the technique that are accelerating the results. I heard Dr. Oz talking about how the future is in energy medicine- so mainstream here we come!

This looks very interesting to me. I wonder how much chronic sinus infection could be helped? Great lens. I'll be back. Thanks for the warm welcome in the lounge. Welcome to you, too!
  • seeker117 May 22, 2011 @ 6:27 pm | delete
I hope you do come back and yes I'm sure you can work with EFT on your chronic sinus infection. Try asking yourself what feeling would you give it when you are experiencing it and tap on that (just tap and think about it even if words don't come) and see if you can recall any other time that same feeling came up. Also, try to recall what was happening in your life when you first remember experiencing the infection and see if an event comes to mind.

You are my dream visitor! Someone who is on or new to the EFT path and is looking for guidance. There is so much here to help you, very glad you found it! My advice is to listen to the free audio material (links above) and just start tapping along to get the hang of it. You will be able to experience "borrowing benefits" for sure.

Excellent lens. Wonderful. Lots of information. I have recently begun and was having difficulty finding wording that i was comfortable with. And following on YouTube can be quite exhausting trying to write things down while tapping. lol. Thank you and Peace with you.
  • seeker117 Aug 29, 2010 @ 11:36 pm | delete
I'm thrilled that you liked it Steph! Don't get discouraged, you can't do it wrong and you will develop your own natural flow and style in time.

I find that one of my favorite techniques is "tell the story" where you just tap around the points (no set up) while you are feeling discomfort in the moment about what's going on and how you feel about it. You can either rant to yourself, even in 3rd person or act like you're telling the story to a friend. No worries about which words to use because they are coming from your emotional core and the whole point is just to tap into the energy there. Once the feelings decrease, you can try using "what if" or "I wonder" "I'm willing to" kinds of statements.

I appreciate your comment, I'm so glad you enjoyed my lens. It's funny that even those who know of and believe in EFT sometimes find that they resist using it when they should...guess what?...you can tap on your resistance to tapping...lol.

Very useful lens you have. Keep it up. 6 weeks ago I spent the day on a ladder painting the back room of our home. It was very painful. I sat up and rubbed it. The pain got worse so I stood up and tried to walk on it. The muscle seemed as hard as rock while the pain was terrible.

I tapped on my chin point (this terrible pain in my legs, repeated 3 times as I tapped). Similarly under my nose, under my eye, side of my eye , my eyebrow point, my collar bone point and back to my karate chop point for a complete statement.

It was at this moment that the startling realization hit me. There was no pain. Simple as that, there was no pain. Both leg muscles were soft and pain free. At first I could not believe it. The leg muscles felt warm but soft. No pain. It has never returned.

Now I really believe in EFT training for myself.
  • seeker117 Jul 27, 2010 @ 12:30 pm | delete
Wow Nicole, thank you for sharing your personal experience here. It's a great testimonial for how EFT can be used so effectively on pain issues (and so many others, it's endless).

You are doing a great job, I love the affirmations and the emotions-list, I found most people don't know what to say while tapping!
    www.feelfreewitheft.com
  • seeker117 Jul 27, 2010 @ 12:27 pm | delete
Pauline, thank you for your kind comments. Yes, it's so common that people don't know what to say while tapping. I especially like the "tell the story" tapping when you just tap around each point and tell the story as if you would be saying it to your friend. Whether you're angry, sad, however you're experiencing it...the emotions WILL come up and begin to neutralize. When you sense that you're ready to move into more positive words, refer to the list I've offered above to guide you. Just keep tapping!
