What is EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique)
· What if you could loose weight easily and without dieting?

· What if these are achieved easily without causing you pain or worry?
All this can become true.
Whether we realise it or not a large part of our problems, mental, physical or emotional are caused by negative emotions and negative beliefs we have formed. Now any negative feeling that can be felt can be treated using EFT with a high probability of success. The fact that negative emotions underlie so many different kinds of problems means that the list of possible issues that can be treated with EFT is very diverse, and new applications for EFT are being discovered all the time. These are just some well tried examples.
Addictions : While it is true many substances in themselves are additive to our minds and bodies, the reason that any addiction is hard to let go is because of the relief that it brings to out negative thoughts and feelings that we control by its use. Addictions of all kinds are used to mask negative feelings. When we try to give them up, not only are left to face these feelings without support, we are also facing cravings for the things we are addicted to. EFT treats addictions most effectively when it is used to treat both the negative emotions, removing the long term need for the addiction, and to reduce or eliminate the cravings.
Fears and Phobias :One of the first things that EFT was used for was the treatment of phobias, such as the fear of flying, water, heights, spiders etc etc. It is very effective as a phobia treatment. Some phobias respond quickly whilst others are more complicated and take longer. It is usually the complexity of the underlying issues that determines this, not the intensity of the fear. The EFT treatment of phobia is not harsh and does not require you to "push through the fear", it gradually reduces the fear until its intensity is gone.
Pain : A sudden event or shock can leave us in pain long after any physical injury has healed. This residual pain often has an emotional component. For example a driver who suffers whiplash in a car accident that was not their fault has neck pain years after the event. Working with an EFT practitioner they find that there are unresolved feelings of anger at the other driver who caused the accident. On releasing this anger, they find that the neck pain has gone. This is not an uncommon type of occurrence. Pain from chronic conditions can often be lessened and sometimes completely removed using EFT. However, pain is the body's warning that something is wrong, so we will always check for any muscle problems, which can also be corrected using other techniques( see injury treatment).
Anxiety : Skilled use of EFT can uncover the underlying issues and feelings and quell them to bring relief from anxiety. However, some situations are always going to be stressful and are not easy to get out of. If you are in a position which keeps repeating itself you will continue to be stressed and anxious. However even in these situations regular and routine use of EFT for the issues of the day can vastly reduce stress levels.
Trauma : The relief of trauma is one area in which EFT has a huge amount to offer. Whilst conventional approaches encourage a traumatised person to talk about, understand and come to terms with their experience, this acceptance of what happened by the logical mind often does not reduce the intensity of the underlying emotion. However EFT can enable these intense negative emotions to be released very rapidly and effectively.
Guilt : Guilt and shame are two examples of the kind of negative emotion that people can carry around with them for years, perhaps even for a lifetime. The damage that this does to the health of both mind and body can be severe as it accumulates over time. With the discovery of EFT it just does not make sense to hang onto such feelings any longer as they can usually be treated very effectively.
Low self esteem : Low self esteem holds back many people from leading a happy and fulfilling life. EFT can help find the core issues that underpin low self esteem, expose negative beliefs that have been formed (often in childhood) and remove the emotional charge from them. When seen in this new light such beliefs often appear ridiculous and no longer hold any power over us.
Performance issues : In this increasingly competitive world the difference between winning and coming second is usually very slight. This is true in all forms competitive activity including sports and business. The slightest doubt in the mind at the crucial moment can mean an opportunity lost, just a little unwanted tension in the body can lead to a performance that is below par. Working on both mind and body, EFT is used to create certainty, focus and allows the body to relax instinctively.
Weight loss : The EFT approach to weight loss is to look upon it as an addiction - to food in general or specific foods and is treated similarly as for other addictions. Food is often used for comfort and to give a temporary high. EFT acts to bring out negative beliefs and treat negative feelings so they are no longer suppressed, and to reduce specific cravings. An addiction to food is more difficult to overcome than other addictions as everyone has to eat to stay healthy.

EFT manual
Heres a brief description of how you can perform eft to heal your emotional issues

1. Select an issue/problem to work on.
2. Think about the problem/issue right now & rate the intensity level (use scale where 0=none/low anxiety and 10=high anxiety).
3. Perform the Set Up:
First, create a Set Up Statement using your problem/issue followed by an affirmation of yourself. Setup statements typically begin with "Even though" followed by your problem affirmation and end with the positive affirmation of "I deeply and completely, love and accept myself". Below are examples of possible Statements:
"Even though I have this anxiety, I deeply and completely accept myself."
"Even though I have this craving for a candy bar, I completely love and accept myself."
Next, using the fingers of one hand, begin tapping the Karate Chop point on your other hand.
Or rub the Sore Spot, the dots indicate the general location as these will vary with each person.
Now, repeat your statement out loud 3 times total while tapping the Karate Chop or rubbing the Sore Spot. Take a deep breath in...release. This completes the Set Up.
4. Complete the Face/Body Meridan Point (we'll call the 'Sequence') Rounds.
Choose a short Reminder Phrase from your Set Up Statement, such as "this anxiety" or "my sweets craving."
Using the first two fingers (either hand is okay), begin tapping the sequence points on the face and upper body as shown below.
As you tap on each point in sequence, repeat your Reminder Phrase, such as "my anxiety" or "my sweets craving."
Tap firmly but not hard enough to hurt yourself.
When finished with this round, take another deep breath in...release.
5. Think about the problem/issue again, and rate how uncomfortable you feel about it now on the 0-10 point scale.
Do a few more rounds of tapping if there is still some anxiety/discomfort associated with your issue.
For example, suppose you rated your anxiety as a "8" and after the first round of EFT, your anxiety dropped to a "3." You can continue tapping until you feel no anxiety whatsoever.
Revise your Set Up Statement/Reminder Phrase to reflect that you have indeed taken care of some of the problem, but there is still more to work on.
Examples: "Even though I still have some of this anxiety, I deeply and completely accept myself anyway." OR "Even though I still have some cravings for sweets, I deeply and completely accept myself."
TAP the Sequence points again. Go back to step 4 and tap on all of the points using a your revised Reminder Phrase such as "remaining anxiety" or "remaining cravings".
Measure your anxiety level on 0-10 scale. Are you at 0 yet? If not, consider repeating additional rounds until your intensity level is 0-1.

Some people get bored repeating the typical "I deeply and completely love and accept myself" affirmation. This mix of EFT phrases can help to stimulate a more specific reaction and better clearing. Play around with them and add your own words.

- I have been experiencing chronic back pain after an accident three years ago. My mother who was seeking other means to treat my pain went for theEFT training. After a three days of tapping, the sore of my lower back disappeared. Amazing!
