How Do You Eat Your Eggo Waffles?

Do you like to have Eggo waffles for breakfast? How do you eat them? With butter and syrup? With fruit? My favorite way to eat Eggo waffles is with peanut butter and blueberry syrup.

There are a lot of different ways to fix an Eggo. There are numerous breakfast recipes and even lunch or dinner recipes. I even found some delicious dessert recipes. I've put together a collection of Eggo recipes.

I hope everyone enjoys them!

Peanut Butter And Jelly Eggo

Peanut Butter And Jelly WaffleIngredients
1 Kellogg's Eggo (any kind)
Peanut Butter
Blueberry Syrup

Directions
1. Heat Eggo as directed on box (I use a toaster)

2. Spread Peanut Butter on the Eggo.

3. Pour some Blueberry Syrup over the Eggo.

4. Heat in microwave for about 20 seconds. Enjoy!

Cheese 'N Mushroom Waffle Wedges

Cheese 'N Mushroom Waffle WedgesIngredients
1 1/2 cups shredded American cheese
1 jar (2 1/2 oz.) sliced mushrooms, drained
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon prepared mustard
6 Eggo® Waffles Homestyle

Directions
1. Stir together all ingredients except KELLOGG'S EGGO Homestyle Waffles. Spread mixture on each waffle to within 1/4 inch of edge. Place on rack on baking sheet.

2. Broil 4 inches from source of heat about 3 minutes or until cheese is melted and waffles are thoroughly heated. Cut each into 8 pieces. Serve immediately.

Streusel Topped Apple Waffles

Ingredients
3 tablespoons firmly packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
6 sets Kellogg's Eggo Cinnamon Toast waffles (Follow the heating instructions on the box)
1 package frozen scalloped apples, thawed

Directions
1. Place sugar and flour in small bowl. Using a pastry blender, cut in
butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Set aside for topping.

2. Place heated waffles on baking sheet coated with cooking spray. Spoon apples evenly over each waffle. Sprinkle with streusel topping.

3. Bake at 375° F about 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Serve warm.

Turkey BLT Sandwich

Turkey BLT SandwichIngredients
12 Kellogg's Eggo Homestyle waffles (Follow the heating instructions on the box)
mayonaise (optional)
6 lettuce leaves
12 slices tomato
12 slices turkey bacon, crisply cooked
cherry tomatoes, halved (optional)

Directions
1. Spread heated waffles lightly with mayonnaise, if desired. Place lettuce leaf, 2 slices of tomato and 2 slices of bacon on each of 6 waffles. Top with remaining waffles.

2. Cut in half; secure with toothpicks. Garnish with cherry tomatoes, if desired.

CAUTION: Don't forget to remove toothpicks before eating.

Chicken And Waffle Sandwich

Ingredients
1 Box Frozen Cinnamon Eggos
1 Cup Mayonnaise
1 Package Smoked Chicken Breast - About 6 slices per sandwich
3 Pieces Havarti Cheese or American Cheese
1/2 Cup Chipotle Peppers

Directions
1. Make the chipotle mayonnaise. Combine a cup of mayonnaise with 1/2 cup of finely diced chipotle peppers. Mix together and set aside.

2. Defrost your waffles (either set them out ahead of time or throw them in the microwave on defrost mode).

3. Then, assemble the sandwich. Smear one waffle with about a tablespoon of the chipotle mayonnaise. Layer a healthy amount of chicken. Put the second waffle on top to close the sandwich.

4. Put your sandwich on a cookie sheet and place under a broiler - one minute each side. Or, just pop it in a toaster oven until the waffles are nice and toasty and the cheese has melted slightly.

Western Waffles

Western WafflesIngredients
24 Kellogg's Eggo Homestyle waffles (Follow the heating instructions on the box)
4 cups shredded low-fat swiss cheese
2 cups diced smoked turkey breasts
2 cups low-fat sour cream
2 cups egg substitute
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon black pepper

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350° F.

2. Place heated waffles on foil-lined 26 x 18 x 1-inch full sheet pan coated with cooking spray. Evenly top each waffle with cheese and turkey. Combine remaining ingredients and spread evenly over each waffle.

3. Bake 25 minutes or until set and lightly browned. Serve hot.

This is a bigger recipe with 24 servings. If you're fixing this for a smaller group you might want to cut all the ingredients in half.

Double Salad Jumbo

Ingredients
2 cups diced cooked chicken or 2 cans boned chicken, diced
1 1/2 cups diced celery
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/4 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
1 can sliced carrots, drained
1 can asparagus spears, drained
3 tablespoons French dressing
12 frozen Eggos
A bag of Boston lettuce (or whichever kind you prefer)
Pretzel sticks

Directions
1. Combine chicken with celery, parsley and seasoned salt in a medium size bowl; fold in mayonnaise or salad dressing.

2. Chill at least 30 minutes to blend flavors.

3. Place carrots and asparagus in separate piles in a shallow dish; drizzle French dressing over all.

4. Chill at least 30 minutes to season.

5. Just before serving, toast Eggos, following label directions; place 2 on each of 6 serving plates; top each with several leaves of lettuce.

6. Spoon 1/2 cup chicken salad on one Eggo on each plate; arrange carrots and asparagus in bundles on remaining waffles.

7. Garnish each plate generously with pretzel sticks.

Hand-Held Quiche

Hand-Held QuicheIngredients
6 Kellogg's Eggo Homestyle waffles (Follow the heating instructions on the box)
1 cup shredded low fat swiss cheese
1/2 cup crumbled cooked turkey bacon
1/2 cup egg substitute
1/2 cup low fat plain yogurt
2 tablespoons sliced green onions
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Directions
1. Place heated Eggos on foil lined tray coated with cooking spray. Sprinkle each waffle with cheese and bacon. Combine remaining ingredients and spread evenly over each waffle.

2. Bake at 350° F for 25 minutes or until set and lightly browned. Serve hot

Eggos With Egg And Cheese

Ingredients
1 Kellogg's Eggo
1 Slice of Cheese
1 Egg (cooked sunny side up)

Directions
1. Cook the egg sunny side up

2. Toast the Eggo.

3. Add cheese to the toasted Eggo and top with Egg.

Eggo And Cottage Cheese

Ingredients
1 Blueberry Eggo
A scoop of Cottage Cheese
Cinnamon and Sugar

Directions
1. Put the scoop of cottage cheese on top of the Eggo.

2. Sprinkle some cinnamon and sugar on top.

3. Place the Eggo in a toaster oven for a few minutes to heat it up and Enjoy!

2 Kellogg's Eggo Homestyle waffles (Follow the heating instructions on the box)
2 tablespoons reduced-fat cream cheese with strawberries
3 small wedges fresh pineapple (about 1 1/2 oz. total)
1 teaspoon flaked coconut
2 tablespoons warm maple syrup

Directions
1. Heat waffles according to package directions.

2. Place waffles on serving plate. Spread cream cheese on top of the waffle. Arrange pineapple on top. Sprinkle with coconut. Drizzle with syrup. Serve warm.

Breakfast Tostada with Eggo Waffles

Ingredients
12 Eggo waffles
12 Eggs
3 cups Sausage, cooked and crumbled
6 oz. Tomatoes, diced
6 oz. Cheddar cheese, shredded
6 oz. Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
Salsa
Pepper of choice, for garnish (optional)

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

1. Toast waffles.

2. Scramble eggs, folding in prepared sausage while cooking eggs.

3. Top toasted waffles with scrambled eggs and sausage, diced tomatoes, shredded Cheddar cheese and shredded Monterey Jack cheese.

4. Bake in the oven until the cheese is melted.

5. Serve with a side dish of salsa and garnish with slices of jalapeno or other pepper.

Ingredients
1 Kellogg's Eggo (The blueberry works best)
Blueberries
Blueberry Syrup

Directions
Cook waffle following directions on the box
Add blueberries on top of waffle
Top with syrup and enjoy!

Waffle Sundae

6 Kellogg's Eggo Homestyle waffles (Follow the heating instructions on the box)
3 cups fat-free frozen yogurt or ice cream
1/3 cup chocolate syrup
6 maraschino cherries
candy sprinkles

Directions
1. Top each heated waffle with 1/2 cup frozen yogurt. Drizzle with chocolate syrup. Decorate with cherries and candy sprinkles.

Make this your own! You can add some of your favorite fruit or candy.

Granola Eggo Waffle Pudding

Ingredients
8 cups milk
8 eggs
1 1/2 cups sugar
2/3 cup maple syrup
1 tablespoon vanilla
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 cup raisins
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
20 Eggo Waffles Homestyle Follow the heating instructions on the box. Cut into 1-inch pieces.
7 cups Low-Fat Granola
- or -
7 cups Low-Fat Granola with Raisins
1/3 cup margarine or butter melted

Directions
1. In a large bowl stir together milk, eggs, sugar, syrup, vanilla and cinnamon. Add raisins. Push waffle pieces down into mixture. Stir 2-3 times making sure waffle pieces are well soaked.

2. Butter a 2 1/2-inch deep full-sized pan. Spread mixture evenly into the pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips over mixture and push down. Add the Low-Fat Granola cereal with the melted butter and spread over the top of the pudding. Place pan on a sheet pan and place on middle rack in oven. Pour hot water into the sheet pan up to 2/3 the side.

3. Bake at 325° F for 40 minutes or until a knife inserted in center of pudding comes out clean. Remove and cool 20 to 30 minutes before serving. Serve with vanilla ice cream or caramel sauce, if desired.

This makes 24 servings!

Ice Cream Sandwiches

Ingredients
8 frozen Eggos
1 pint of your favorite ice cream
1 can ready-to-eat frosting (vanilla or chocolate work best, but you can use any)

Directions
1. Cut ice cream in 4 slices to fit waffles. (or you can let the ice cream melt a little and spread it on to the waffles)

2. Spread frosting onto the frozen Eggos.

3. Place an ice cream slice between 2 Eggos, frosting side to the inside.
-or-
Make open face sandwiches (use 1 waffle for each slice of ice cream) and serve with a sweet topping(strawberries, bannans, pineapples hot fudge, whatever you prefer)

Serve immediately or re-freeze

Directions
1. Toast the Eggo

2. Add a scoop of Italian Roast beef on top of the Eggo

3. Add a scoop of mashed potatoes.

4. Pour gravy over everything.
