Egyptian Arabic is Easy to Learn with Pimsleur

When it comes to languages like Arabic, Hebrew, Aramaic, and Amharic, it is typically much easier for most people to learn basic conversational skills, than to start by learning to read their respective scripts. Part of this is based on the simple reality that few people have the time to spend on learning what seem to be complicated scripts. It can often prove to be so frustrating that it causes many people to give up their language study.

Another route to consider, it the conversational approach of the Pimsleur Method. Don't get me wrong. If you're serious about learning a language, you'll need to eventually master reading and writing. From personal experience however, that is often a lot easier for a lot of people once they have some practical vocabulary under their belt. The idea of reading and writing the words and phrases they have learned can be the motivating factor to learn Egyptian Arabic, or any other language with a new script.

In short, Egyptian Arabic Pimsleur provides the student with about 400 basic words and phrases in many different conversational settings (which incidentally increases their usefulness) via audio cds. Its a great way to learn basic Arabic quickly and gives you sufficient mastery to introduce yourself, ask for directions, learn basic numbers and time, shop, and more.
