The "City of Lights" may best be known for one of it's landmarks -- The Eiffel Tower. Incorporating Eiffel Towers into your centerpiece for a French or Parisian themed event is a great option. You could also decorate your home with Eiffel Towers to bring a bit of France to you!

I have scoured, researched and come up with a compilation of available Eiffel Towers in all sizes and makes. Included here as well are suggestions for creating Eiffel Tower Centerpieces for a wedding or event or to bring a touch of Paris to your home and fun facts on the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

I have had two of these! I used them each of them as a centerpiece on a buffet table. The event was themed "Paris". I added some ivy at the base of the tower and POOF! Centerpiece to spice up a plan old buffet table!
I also used it in my home -- set in the corner of my gold, burgundy, black and brown living room. It was a conversation starter piece and added some ambiance.

Highlight Special Tables with your Decor

On buffet, escort, gift, and other special tables at your event, you could use a larger version of theme items for a centerpiece. It makes these special tables stand out where they might otherwise be lost in the shuffle.

Use larger or more items -- create a vignette on these tables. It helps set the scene for your guests.

Vignette

an area you use to create a scene, a set (as in a movie or play). It can be as small as a table top or as large as a stage area. The area is decorated in a specific aspect of an overall theme.

Centerpiece Philosophy

Themed Centerpieces

Remember, themed centerpieces are anything we decide to put in the middle of the table -- one item or 5 items -- it's up to you. (Though odd numbers are best in the design world because they are more pleasing to the eye.)

For example, if you have a Paris, French or specifically, an Eiffel Towers theme, that doesn't mean you only use one item per table. You could combine items to make a more interesting and unique centerpiece. Different textures, colors, shapes and sizes can be combined to make your centerpieces reflect your taste. Use the keyword exercise to come up with items that remind you or bring to mind your theme. Below are some examples to give you the idea:

Theme

Keywords

City of Paris or Parisian Theme

city photos, landmarks, Wine/Champagne, fleur de lis symbols, apothecary jars/bottles, cafes, florals, feathers, berets, perfume, etc...

Specifically, an Eiffel Towers Theme

Eiffel tower replicas in figurines, ornaments, candle holders, trinket boxes, photos, etc...

While your keywords don't have to translate into a specific item, your items should relate the feeling those keywords give you. Now, start looking for items you can use to create a unique, totally you centerpiece.

Suitcases for Centerpieces

Incorporate these adorable suitcase into your Paris themed event. They feature very French inspired pattern that will work well with your Riffel Tower figurines. Add some vintage Paris travel brochures of maps and you have an awesome centerpiece!

More than One Item for a Centerpiece

One option is to use different centerpieces for each table. It is much more interesting to have a mixture of centerpieces than a sea of likeness. Use 2, 3 or 4 different styles of centerpieces or make every table different. Be sure to create cohesion in some way (like the same colors/style of linens) so there is a basis that ties everything together. You don't want a hodge podge or unfinished look.

Use the age-old decorators trick of layering multiple items to create your centerpiece. For instance:

Start with a 8" to 12" Eiffel Tower, add ivy, a French inspired flag or fabric, and place a beret leaning against or hanging from the top of the tower.

Use a candle holder with a fleur de lis design, a bottle of wine and some grapes to make a French feeling centerpiece.

The possibilities are as endless as your imagination.

These are pretty cool centerpieces! My daughters favorite place in the world is Paris, France. She would probably look for the windmill from the Moulin Rouge. LOL Would be highly inappropriate for a wedding, but maybe the lingerie shower :)
