El Naturalista makes eco friendly shoes! I bought my first ever El Naturalista shoes online one year ago. And I am so pleased with the quality that I want to share with you the reason why I bought 3 more pairs. El Naturalista is a Spanish shoe company that produce its shoes in Spain. They don't outsource their production to China or other third world countries.

Reasons why I love El Naturalista shoes

Comfortable and Eco Friendly Shoes: El Naturalista

The color is exactly what I wanted: a rich dark chocolate. The leather is nice quality, the insole is soft. The sole is wood and rubber. I really like the antique style this model provides. The size runs true for this model so you can oder online without problem ( I wear size 41 euro and this is what I ordered). The only problem might be for women with wider or thicker feet: this El Naturalista model is not really wide and this might be a problem for some.
One year later, I am now the proud owner of 4 El Naturalista pair of shoes and boots!

A warning about El Naturalista shoe size conversion
El Naturalista is a Spanish shoe brand and their size are the standard European size. The main problem I am seeing while shopping online is that some websites don't do the correct size conversion from Euro to US shoe size!. El Naturalista Women's N763 Mary-Jane Pump
Now when I look at some Amazon listing for El Naturalista shoes
I see very weird conversion such as this: 42 M EU / 12 B(M) USSo make sure when you buy this brand online to go with the European sizing and don't take the US/Canada size conversion for cash. And make sure you can do returns in case they don't fit!

My 3rd pair of El Naturalista
These were the first El Naturalista shoes that caught my eyes while shopping. But I was not really looking for slide sandal ( I was really doing a fixation on "spartiates"). But the Ikebana sandal were so nice looking that they prompt me to browse El Naturalista collection and finally bought my first pair (the gladiator ones).It didn't take long and soon I was back to buy them. I choose the brown color (This Ikebana model is also available in black or white. See below for information about El Naturalista model numbers)

If you have been looking to buy my cool El Naturalista Ikebana sandals , you might have been disappointed not finding what you were expecting to find (the same model as mine). There is a reason to that. When looking for a shoe you saw somewhere, you will need the collection name as well as number otherwise your search result won't be pinpointed to the exact same shoes. Each El Naturalista collection of shoes offers many different models.
For example, the Papua collection (inspired by New Guinea flora and fauna) has 4 different models (including my cool N552). The Ikebana collection (inspired by Japanese art) also come in different models.

Can you bieleve that these El Naturalista RecyclUS shoes are all hand stitched! No glue, no machine. Hand stitched.....like back then. Not only that, but they are made from recycled material and once you don't feel like wearing your pair of shoes any longer (because you bought a cooler pair of El Naturalista), you can send them back and they will be recycled by the company! - I own several pairs of their clogs and so appreciate how incredibly comfortable they are. I will live in them this summer. I hope El Naturalista keeps coming out with new styles and colors of clogs in particular.

- great to see eco-friendly shoes, and from Spain as welll !!!! Yippee. (i live in Spain, that's why...) My wife's a vegie, and she's not wearing leather shoes, do they make non leather shoes as well ? Great lens, big like, love green lenses.

- I am a big fan of Spanish products, I've been using some of them for years and continue purchasing them. I don't know El Naturalista shoes, though, but I might give them a try the next time I'll be looking for a new pair. Nicely done and blessed! :)

- I usually don't spend much on clothing and fashion, but one exception to that is a really good pair of comfortable shoes - now THAT is worth it to me. And I had not ever heard of this particular brand, so thanks for the heads up. Glad to know that El Naturalista shoes are made in Spain and NOT China. I also have a lens about comfy shoes & feature my favorite brands there... maybe this one will eventually be included after I try them out.
