The Miracle of Elbow Grease

Commercial Cleaners make big money. That's the reason we use them.

We've been brainwashed into believing that it takes a load of petroleum-based abrasive chemicals with disguised smells to clean our home. Let me tell you, we don't!

If I can get my house shining clean with good old-fashioned water and elbow grease, then anyone can. Particularly anyone who is younger than I am.

The modern accessories in cleaning tools which I love are plastic spray bottles - I can fill them with vinegar and water.

Household cleaners are mostly filled with petrochemical solvents designed to dissolve dirt

Chemicals found in many household cleaners include crystalline silica, an irritant to the eyes and lungs and a likely carcinogen, and butyl cellosolve, which has been linked to kidney and liver problems and toxic to forming cells.

Elbow Grease works best when teamed with a little vinegar.

Vinegar is a deodoriser, an antibacterial spray, a soap scum remover, and a degreaser. It's also incredibly handy or rather, incredibly necessary, if you happen to have a close encounter with a Box Jellyfish.

Use vinegar in your laundry, in your bathroom, for soaking diapers, to clean your benches and to wipe down your stove top.

Vinegar is a little marvel in itself but, when teamed with elbow grease is the best thing since sliced bread.
