It's red vs. blue on November 4, the biggest competition of the year. (Sorry, Super Bowl.) What better excuse to get all your rowdy friends together for good natured political ribbing. We'll all be glued to the TV set anyway to see the latest results and keep score. And half of us will be wanting to drink ourselves silly as we watch our team go down. It's a party just asking to happen.
So whether you're cheering for the Republican elephants or the Democrat donkeys (or maybe one of the rogue teams), there is party gear for you. Or maybe you want to stay neutral and go for standard patriotic themes. Because no matter which side wins, we still have to live here.

What to do while waiting for those state results to come in
Twister - Politics is a twisted game anyway, so this seems appropriate. Change the "right" and "left" to "republican" and "democrat" with the occasional "third party" vote to mix it up.
Political board games - from the Race to the White House to a Rep. vs. Dem. version of Stratego, there are lots of options.
State by State Map - I found this great puzzle that comes with blue and red states so you can follow along with the election results and complete the puzzle with the color that wins the state.
