Which one should I choose ?

Some tips

There are so many electronic toothbrushes out there that it can be hard to choose just one. I suggest you first work out your budget then find the best power toothbrush that fits it. Secondly don't just stick to one brand. I have been doing allot of research on which toothbrushes dentists recommend and what I found is that almost every dentist ( real and online ) swears to a different brand. Find the brand that you like and don't be afraid to change to a different one if you are not satisfied.

Now that we have that out of the way here are some reviews on the top power toothbrushes out there.

Oral-B Triumph Professional Care 9400 Power Toothbrush Review

Some nice features

  • The 9400 is fully rechargeable that will save you money in the long run.

  • Has a 2 year warranty

  • Features a timer

  • Adjustable speed

  • Supports all the brushes in the range

  • FlossAction head support ( that is used instead of flossing )

  • LCD Display

  • Great battery life

The timer that I mentioned above helps you to keep brushing for 2 minutes and it lets you know every 30 seconds to time to change sides. This ensures that you get a proper brush every time. It has adjustable speeds but you will most likely only use it on full speed as it does not hurt the gums. Although claim that only the Triumph can use the floss head but it fits on all their electronic toothbrushes. So there is no real advantage there. It has a LCD screen that tells you stuff like how long you brushed and battery life. Although it is nice to have it does put extra strain on the battery. It also lets you know exactly when to change brushes. Battery life overall is really good. If you brush frequently like you are supposed to you will only need to charge it once a week.
Overall this is a 4 star brush.

Philips Sonicare Elite e7300 Power Toothbrush Review

Some Features

  • Dual speed

  • Features a timer

  • Rechargeable

  • Good battery life ( about 7 days)

The brush head is smaller that the original and has a new diamond shape that i found works mush better than the original shape. I have heard about some rusting problems but it has never happened to me or anybody I know personally .It also features a timer that will make sure that you brush long enough and change sides and angle frequently. The brush heads last about 1-2 months depending on how you use it and to buying a new brush is relatively expensive so try and make it last as long a possible. 5 Stars

Ultreo Ultrasound Electric Toothbrush Review

Fist of for those who you who is using Sonicare Elite and thinking of switching to the Ultreo Ultrasound just know that the Ultreo Ultrasound heads are a bit bigger than the Sonicare Elite and might take some time to get use to it, but it should not e a problem.

Features

  • Features timer

  • Good battery life

  • Ultrasound waveguide technology

Like most of the electric toothbrushes it has a time features that reminds you to switch sides. The Ultrasound waveguide technology creates micro bubbles that are activated by nearly 4 million cycles of ultrasound energy per brushing. Please note that Ultreo is out of business and as far as i know the warranty is void but regardless it is still a good brush.

* Timer Feature
* High and low speed settings
* Good battery life ( 12 days if used twice a day )
* Great price
* Pressure Sensor
* Fully chargeable

Like most of the power toothbrushes the 7850 DLX has a times feature that ensures that you brush long enough and on the right places. It has a low and high speed but you will probably just use the high speed. The nice thing about this brush is that the replacement brush heads are relatively inexpensive. The heads are relatively small so it is easy to reach hard-to-reach places. Another big plus is that when you buy it ( at the link below ) you get 2 FlexiSoft brush heads, 2 extra-soft brush heads, and 2 Interspace brush head. It has a pressure sensor that detects when you press to hard, if this happens the toothbrush will shut down automatically. Overall this brush is excellent.

Philips Sonicare R732 HealthyWhite Power Toothbrush Review

Sonicare claims that with this toothbrush you can get your teeth 2 shades whiter in 2 weeks. This brush has been proven to remove coffee, tea, and red wine stains.
Features

  • Includes two brush head sizes

  • Smart Timer

  • 2 year warranty

  • Travel case

This electronic toothbrush is 30 percent smaller and lighter than the Sonicare Essence. This electric toothbrush brush includes a travel case and detachable travel charger. Like stated above you get 2 brush sizes. The standard size is the normal size that you will use most of the time, then you also get a compact brush that is used for those places that the standard brush cant reach. This power toothbrush,like most of the decent power toothbrushes, comes with a timer that ensures that you brush for 2 minutes but unlike the other brushes this brush comes with a extra special 30 second whitening session. The 30 extra seconds basically focuses on the visible teeth and is supposedly uses a different cycle that focuses on removing stains and whiting teeth. I am personally using this brush at the moment and I am really impressed.

Features

  • Pressure Sensor

  • Timer

  • Includes Flexisoft brushhead, DualAction brushhead and PowerPolisher brushhead

  • 3D Excel technology

  • Good battery life

Ok first you are probably wondering what the 3D Excel technology is. The 3D Excel technology is "40,000 in-and-out pulsations per minute gently loosen plaque, and 8,800 side-to-side oscillations sweep plaque away". Oral-b claims that it removes up to 97 percent of plaque from hard-to-reach areas and that it whitens you teeth in 21 days. A bonus with this product is all the extra brushes

Philips Sonicare Essence 5300 Power Toothbrush Review Philips Sonicare Essence 5300 Power Toothbrush Review

Features

  • Smart time ( does not include segment beeping,read below )

  • 2 week battery life

  • Includes travel case

  • Good price

  • Rechargeable

It is important to note that this brush does include a 2 minute timer but unlike the more expensive electronic toothbrushes it doesn't have the 30 second segment beeping. For those of you that does not know what this is, most of the more expensive power toothbrushes beeps after 30 seconds to let you know that you have to change sides. Although this is can be helpful in is not a must. As stated above it has a great battery life of 2 weeks. Included is a travel case and 1 contoured brush head. With that said this power toothbrush is great for home use or travel. 4.7 Stars
