Elephant Poo Poo Paper's Mission Statement

How Do They Make Paper Out of Elephant Poo?

And ... does elephant poo paper SMELL?

Paper is normally made from fiber from trees, of course. Elephant dung is very fibrous due to the elephant diet, and so it makes a great source for tree-free paper production. The dung is allowed to dry completely before being washed (and completely deodorized!), which basically leaves behind the fibers from the vegetation eaten by the elephants.

It's the best invention since the pooper-scooper!

beepbop says:

I think it's awesome! I teach students about the 4Rs and everytime I have them guess what they think my notebook is made out of. I have them feel it and guess and when I reveal that it is made from elephant poo I ALWAYS get an amazing reaction! I think they really dig it! or should i say dung it!

jewelkid87 says:

I love it and want some for myself!

reasonablerobinson says:

Amazing, but shouldn't they call it pooper rather than paper?

AT says:

It's amazing. All paper should be made out of it.

resabi says:

well, maybe not THE best... But I think it's a great product and a smart use of resources.

Philippians468 says:

such innovation! amazed!

Don_McCyclist says:

It'd be wonderful if I had four elephants: paper mill in my yard! I could ride em around town and paper-making artisans would pay to follow me around and scrape up the treasure.

That's better than sliced bread, huh?

skiesgreen says:

Great and it's wonderful how we are now interested in saving the planet

Sylvestermouse says:

I think it is a great alternative!

KonaGirl says:

This is amazing! Someone was thinking.

I wouldn't touch it with a 10-foot roll of toilet paper!

TWOnline2 says:

i don't

stevearun says:

I think this is indeed an innovative idea, recycling almost everything. But, this is for sure, I can't use it if I know. lol

thrivingmom says:

It's a great idea. I'm glad someone is making paper with recycled materials, but I wouldn't want to use it. Yuck. :p

Momsbusy247 says:

hmmm, the jury is out on this one. I am not sure I want to write on elephant poo
