Look Great For Only $1.00!
I work as a merchandiser, model, stylist and makeup artist. In 2005, I began merchandising a new line of cosmetics called e.l.f. (eyes, lips, face). The amazing thing about this line is that EVERYTHING only costs a buck! ONE DOLLAR! Including high quality makeup brushes and tools, and a large selection of color pallettes. This is great for a lot of reasons:
1. The products are high quality, and come in small sizes, which means I'm not throwing money away by having to replace old makeup in big bottles and compacts that went off before I used it all.
2. If I buy something I don't like, I'm not out $20 for a lipstick.
3. It's easy to change my look with the trends or seasons.
4. I can buy all the makeup and tools I need for the same cost of as a bottle of department store foundation.
5. As a makeup artist, I can buy e.l.f. concealers and foundations in all the skin tones I need, and can change my color pallettes to fit my clients' needs, all without breaking my budget.
6. As a woman, I love makeup, but there are other things I'd rather spend extra money on, like a hot new outfit, dinner out with my family...you get the idea! My husband also tends to be happier when I'm spending less on expendable things like cosmetics.
The e.l.f. site even has a section to show customers how to get the look they want: techniques, colors and step-by-step instructions to train them to be their own makeup artist. How cool is THAT?

- Hey this is really cool! I didn't even know? I'm going to share this one with my 16 year old right now. We don't spend a lot of money on cosmetics because I don't find it necessary to pay for a name. When we do purchase cosmetics though we usually buy the "wet n wild" brand because they're only a dollar too. Will have def have to check this out. Thanks for sharing.
