Eli Stone - Cancelled (I mean not renewed) by ABC!
Eli Stone has been cancelled or at least not renewed (not officially canceled but basically not coming back after remaining episodes are aired without a miracle).
In the show, Eli is a modern day prophet/lawyer who has visions from God that help him solve cases. The show is not heavy on sex/violence and has a musical element to it and a positive message.
Many have suggested that ABC change the show to another time slot because it is on Tuesdays at 10pm/9 Central. It doesn't seem appropriate for a show that many families can enjoy together.
What can we Eli Stone fans do to save the show?
I think the most effective way may be to write a letter to ABC (Contact ABC Links: address | contact form) mentioning the things you love about the show and why they should renew it (and perhaps move it to an earlier time slot if 10pm is not a good time for you, etc).
Watch the remaining episodes of Eli stone (look for them this summer) and tell other people about the show and get them to watch it too (know any Nielsen families?) Buying Eli Stone DVDs, watching Eli Stone on ABC's website, and joining in other campaigns that may pop up to save Eli Stone may help too.

I am still hoping that ABC will decide to bring back this show. I really enjoyed watching it and I miss the characters on the show. I want to know more of them and what will come to them. I thought the show had a combination of "Alley McBeal" humor/comedy and "Quantum leap" ability to change the future story lines which made it clever and refreshing to watch. I really do hope many of you will write so that ABC will reconsider putting Eli back on. I can't wait until that happens! Eli Stone rules!

Finally ABC gets a quality show and what do you know, now it is gone. ABC shame on you! This was the most creative show on ANY network and fits in the same category as Northern Exposure and Ali McBeal as a clasic. At this point I watch nothing on ABC and I am sure that I am not the only one who does not watch reality shows or sit coms. You missed your chance. I do have the first season on DVD and I will be purchasing the second season. They are worth watching over and over and my friends come over for a great evening of fun.

Why would they cancel Eli Stone? I loved this show and it was so well written. I loved the idea that network television was willing to embrace and tell the story of a relationship with a higher power..and not be condemning with it. SO sad this show isn't coming back. Darn you ABC. You get me to watch these new shows (Pushing Daisies, Eli Stone, October Road) and then you cancel them! Grr!!

Eli Stone was one of the best shows. I was hoping that it will continue many years. It is one of the few shows that has a different theme, storyline and makes you feel really good. Some of the scenes makes you cry and still feel happy at the end of the show. The acting is great. Please bring it back. With so many detective/police/Marshals or doctor/nurse shows, we take a break by watching a show like Eli Stone.

I would only sleep with someone if we mutually respect each other and it is a private matter. I am an inactive attorney in California who beat cancer while working on sets, who was treated inappropriately due to this production. I lost my breasts. I fought to walk. I was tripped on a set and lost work post accident. I was happy with the work I was doing and I care little for money but I am more valuable than I was being paid. I am a hard working person, who worked hard on sets, and was always willing to work. I cared more for ensuring that I do a good job, than i get exposure with my work. I believe you should not sleep with someone unless you respect each other, and you are not using each other to get ahead. I am not into prostitution. I believe that individuals should be allowed to have their privacy. Making an assumption as to why I am upset on terms of relations with an actor would be greatly inappropriate and slanderous on your part.
Most SAG shows were canceled- the industry was forcing SAG out due to the potential strike.

I found it encouraging that somebody out there knows about prophesy. I believed it was a great show with a interesting influence. Prophesy is unpredictable and that's why the story line seemed a little shaky, but it was kinda how my whole life has been. I definitely will be purchasing the DVDs. Note we may need a little of Gods super on our natural cause the worlds is jacked up anyways. Why not create a show to express that. Inspires me to keep doing what I doing!

Save the show. Cut 30% of ABC's poor management to make up the difference in costs. The original 3 big networks have to understand that its a new world out there with cable, satellite and x-box machines all competing for the air time hours and the almighty advertising dollar. Yes, It was a rearted show which makes way less sense than a great show like Knight Rider. A lawyer who does all these save the world prophecys, this god vision stuff has been done before and plus their is no action. If Arnold Schwarzenegger played Eli Stone it would have gone for at least eight seasons, people today they want to see drama but also with an action element thrown in.

- I never missed this show. Even when we had to be out, I recorded it. The story line is great. A positive show to watch. No blood and guts, no demons or ghost. Just people with a slite little twist. KEEP THE SHOW ON>>>>>>>>>>

- I'm with my husband on this one! We're petitioning everyone we know to come to this site to save Eli Stone!! WHY would ABC cancel the BEST SHOW on TV? The last moral shows that aired for any length of time were Little House House On The Prairie, The Brady Bunch and the The Waltons? PLEASE DON'T CANCEL ELI STONE!!! America NEEDS MORE shows like Eli that have a GOOD clean, healthy message...NOT more shows with sex and violence. BRING ELI BACK!!

- I don't usually comment on anything on the internet. However this deserves a comment. Please do not cancel this show. It is a good clean family show. Yes it is different from the shows that are currently on TV, but this is what makes the show refreshing. I have watched every episode and I hope ABC will change their mind. Eli Stone is good change from the million and one reality shows on television. Please let the show continue. Change the time slot if the current one is not working. Give it a chance to grow.
