There are many methods that purport to getting rid of cellulite. Creams and lotions help the skin to look better but does not in itself remove cellulite. Exercise and a healthy diet will reduce cellulite over time. Exercises should include strength training and cardiovascular work. Targeted weight lifting will help tone the area so the cellulite is not as noticeable and cardio work will help with overall weight loss.
How Do You Get Cellulite?
Cellulite is most common in the areas that fat is stored at. Cellulite can settle most anywhere on the body but is most common in certain areas like the buttocks, thighs, hips stomach and lower back.
So how does cellulite form? The muscles in our body are covered with a padding of fatty connective tissue. This tissue is surrounded and served by a liquid that nourishes and helps to remove waste. The idea is that this the waste that forms in the liquid is efficiently removed when the body is functioning properly. Unfortunately when there is too much waste to remove it begins to thicken and hardens into pockets. This is the cellulite you love to hate.
Are Cellulite Creams Effective?
The cellulite creams are able to make the skin appear and feel smoother. They may have some properties that can reduce the cells which cause cellulite. But the fact is you will still have cellulite if you do not change your lifestyle.
Personally I would use the creams in conjunction with exercise. I think the lotions and creams will help your skin appear smoother and younger. These areas need moisture. The skin around the cellulite would benefit if it were taken care of which would in turn help reduce the cellulite.
Is Cosmetic Surgery a Viable Cellulite Removal Option?
Liposuction may be the most popular way of surgically eliminating cellulite. This procedure involves fat removal from the hips, buttocks and thighs. You've seen it on TV numerous times I would bet.
The Lower Body Lift
As the name indicates here this is indeed a "face lift" of the lower body. This is done when there is too much fat on and around the hips. This is a very time-taking procedure, and potentially dangerous as you could face excessive bleeding, blood poisoning, scarring, anesthetics reaction, and so on. On the positive side it is reported that this surgery has the highest success among these types of surgery
Micro Surgery or Mesotherapy
Collagen, the main ingredient of any young and beautiful skin is produced in the mesoderm or the middle layer of the skin. This surgery promotes the making of collagen and thereby helps to restore the required elasticity of skin. This procedure involves an in-depth analysis of the reasons of the cellulite formation following which homeopathic medicine would be injected under the skin to improve in whatever it is lacking, i.e. poor circulation, lack of collagen, etc.
The Key to Eliminating Cellulite
As you age into your twenties your metabolism begins to slow and you start having muscle loss. As a result fat begins to accumulate. The good thing is that you can combat this by regular strength training. If you build muscles it helps to burn calories. In weight training you should target areas such as you abs, thighs and buttocks. Lunges squats, leg curls, and leg extensions are effective. However, a full body exercise regimen is ideal for total body fitness.
If you want to lose the cellulite then you will simply have to adjust your diet. Eating foods that are low in fat and rich in fiber is healthy and will make you look and feel better. Additionally you should moderate foods containing white flour. Avoid white rice, commercial fruit juices, colas and burgers. Five to six small but balanced meals, rich in lean proteins (fish and chicken) and low-glycemic carbs (oatmeal) will suit you better. Limit your sodium intake.
