Are you a reader or a writer, or both?

From the lens Lizzy's Bookshelf.

I'm trying to take more time to read. So much stuff I want to write about though.

I love to read before bed, it seems to reduce my stress prior to going to sleep. Only problem is that when I'm too into the book I end up staying up to late to finish it.

I love to read (and write) I read a lot of novels when on the "Tube" train in London and more intellectual, economic or technical (i.e. boring) books when at home.

What a creative way to get to know you. love the flower quotes.
I would much rather read than watch a movie. My only problem is that I cannot seem to put a good book down until I finish it. Great lens!

I remember Mom always telling me " Get your nose out of the book" I love to read and now when I have work to do, I reward myself with reading. ie. Spend 1 hour washing windows and then get to read for 1 hour :)

Lifelong bookworm here, too...I used to run into walls while reading, and my motto to mom was "as soon as I finish this chapter!" Now one of my 10-year-olds does the same thing to me. Great lens!

Reading has to be one of my favorite ways to relax. Recently I have been able to make more time to read. Writing brings me a lot of joy too. So I think I consider myself both a reader and a writer.

I wish there were more hours in the day and that I had more energy to be able to write as much as I wanted to AND to find the necessary time to read.

I really don't consider myself a reader or a writer but I loved this lens :)

I enjoy writing but I don't think I'd actually classify myself as "A Writer", but I absolutely love to read! There are books in every single room of our house, and my dad & I custom built 3 seven foot bookcases into the wall in our bedroom (they are, of course, crammed full of books ~ including Julie Garwood :o) Wonderful lens!

I am both, but I've had more practice as a reader:)

This is a great list. I think I need to print it out so I won't forget your recommendations or I could just buy them all from you. right? Welcome to the South Carolina Group.

I am a reader and I like to think I am a writer. I can't imagine anyone being able to write if they don't read. But sometimes you have to let go of the writer in you to be able to simply enjoy a book!

I know what you mean about once you start writing then you don't want to give it up!

    Great books!

Lovely lens. Naw, I don't consider myself a writer because I don't practice writing. But, I do consider myself a reader. Love books and cannot fathom not having a library. I love the look of books on a shelf, the feel of them, the smell of them. Kindle can't give me that. Just went through two Inspector Lynley mysteries. Elizabeth George can certainly "take one away." :)
