Ellie Williams

Ellie Williams is a singer-songwriter from Exeter, England. Back in 2006 she almost signed a deal with Mike Batt, Katie Melua's manager. Unfortunately the deal fell through when Mike moved his business to New York. Instead Ellie turned to Sellaband, the crowd-sourcing website. Ellie raised $50,000 to record her debut album "Unseen" in just 50 days. It was released on Sellaband on October 13th, 2009.

Her music is a mix of acoustic pop, folk and gospel. Similar artists include Sarah McLachlan, Kate Bush and Shawn Colvin.

New Album "Hope" in 2012

A new album is in the works, hopefully to be released on June 16th 2012. To help fund the recording and promotional costs, Ellie has returned to Sellaband and her new profile is here . The following article mention Ellie's recent battle with cancer and her hopes for her second album.

N.S.P.C.C. Charity Single "Fin's Song"

Ellie has teamed up with the NSPCC to raise funds for ChildLine. All profits from the single "Fin's Song" will be donated to the charity to help them train volunteers. It's available from Amazon UK or iTunes.
