Elmo Toys
To start off, Elmo loves you and guess what? I love Elmo too! Why do I love Elmo? That is because I grew up with Sesame Street (Yes I did!) and how many of you fellow readers actually grew up with Sesame Street? Come on raise your hands there so I can see them. I'm sure many of you do! And I hope you love Elmo and Sesame Street as much as I do. Since I am a lover of toys, its time that I return the favour back to Sesame Street, and introduce Elmo Toys!

Elmo Toys - Tickle Me Elmo
One of the first Elmo Toys that I am going to introduce is the Tickle Me Elmo! The Tickle Me Elmo Toy had its beginnings in 1996. It was a very simple toy which co-existed with other similar simple toys at this point of time. How the Elmo Toy worked was that its ran on 3 'AA' alkaline batteries (which were included in the toy) and this Tickle me Elmo had some hidden button on its tummy which the child can press to make Elmo giggle and talk. Press Elmo again and he laughs even longer. A third press and Elmo shakes and laughs like crazy.I personally have not seen this toy, not sure if it is already some sort of a collector's item! Haha! Well I guess this was just a simple toy and therefore nobody paid it lots of attention. But it did pave the way for the Tickle Me Elmo T.M.X...
Elmo Toys - Tickle Me Elmo - T.M.X
T.M.X. actually stand for Tickle Me Ten (the X stands for 10). Why 10? This is because the T.M.X Tickle Me Elmo was released 10 years after the original Tickle Me Elmo toy. The toy was actually unveiled to the world on Good Morning America on 19 September 2006. At that time, it was the most secretly guarded toy of the pre-holiday season and was only shown to a few toy-industry insiders prior to the release. This secrecy, however, didn't stop thousands of pre-orders from piling up.
T.M.X. Elmo stands at 14 inches tall. Though it feels hard, this Elmo Toy is not about being a pluff toy but more of a robotic entertainment. This Elmo is actually all about tickles! Just hit one of Tickle Me Elmo's three "tickle" spots (one under his chin, one on his belly, and one on top of his foot) and Elmo goes ecstatic with fun and laughter!

Elmo vs other Sesame Street Friends
Now why is Elmo so popular? What about the other characters on Sesame Street? Like Cookie Monster, Ernie, Big Bird, Oscar the Grouch etc. I guess Ernie and Cookie Monster should be thankful since they got their own Tickle Me Toys, but what about the others on Sesame Street? What happend to them? I really hope they are not neglected and heres the chance for you guys to speak up for the less popular Sesame Street friends.
