One Of The Best Anti-Heroes In All Of Fantasy!

Wow, I just searched Amazon for "elric of melnibone", and was not happy with what I found. Sure, some of the books are there. Even multiple versions/publications of a few. But a search of "elric of melnibone box set" - produced nothing! I need to do a bit of research into why this might be the case. Perhaps Michael Moorcock (the author) didn't want a box set to be produced? Perhaps there is a struggle over publishing rights?

In any case, Elric was one of my favorite fantasy characters/book series as I began to discover the fantasy genre in the early 1980's. This lens is a tribute to Elric. And, there is a "Duel" here asking readers & fans of Elric to weigh in on whether or not a movie about Elric could ever do the character justice...

Animated movie! I still don't see modern technology keeping up with some of the strange places in the multiverse.

I would love a Elric film but only if it was done as well as Lord of the Rings. Peter Jackson or Riddly Scott or JJ Abrams are perhaps the only directors worthy of this character. If for ever reason, it was cranked out like most stupid fantasy movies, I would be pissed angry for it being done. BTW, teh two cats who created the Battle Star Galatica remake would be awesome too.

i think i am tierd of seeing all these movies out now that really suck they rip the stories and the sword off from elric i even seen american chopper do a dragon movie theme bike and i just think it would have been better with elric i know they dumped a pile of money on the riddek movie but i think the should of went with elric it would of had a cult following for years and years elric is more to us than some stupid super hero he lives within us all i love reading the saga over and over i even have some of the book covers tattooed on my arms elric would make a great movie or should i say movies just do one for each book you will make the money you want and we will get to finnaly watch the real elric instead of some waterd down boaring fake movie i have onil one word for MICHALE MOORCOCK HAIL. elric forever
