el Sol Vineyard
el Sol Vineyard is located on the site of a former chicken ranch. Today the landscape is dominated by Zinfandel and Syrah vines, and the spaces that accommodated chickens now house wine barrels—lots of them!
el Sol is known for producing a wide range of quality wines. The popular winery debuted on the Livermore Valley wine scene in 2002, and produced small lots of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, Barbera, Syrah and a traditional Port. Later releases included Sangiovese, Charbono, Pinotage, Tempranillo, Chardonnay, Viognier, and Rosé of Sangiovese.

At el Sol Winery, you'll enjoy sitting at small tables with views of Altamont Pass and the rolling hills surrounding Livermore Valley. el Sol is a place for friends to meet and enjoy a selection of fine wines. The 'open' sign is often out Tuesday through Thursday as well, so you may be able to enjoy a personal winery tour and some barrel tasting.Tasting Room Hours:
Friday from Noon to 5pm
Saturday from Noon to 5pm
Sunday from Noon to 5pm
