Have you ever been to an Elton John Concert?

    He's coming to Ottawa on June 1st...I keep saying I'm going to go see him but each time he travels here it's not convenient for me. I remember the 1st time I heard his music...I was about 8 years old and became an instant fan.

    Thanks for visiting my geocaching lens...and the reminder that the deadline for 50 is coming up...Bonnie has mentioned it to me before, it's def. something I'm working towards it's just I'm not that fast ;o) (life keeps getting in the way) LOL

    Pardon my postmenopausal memory - it was Rocket Man not Daniel that he could do 20 minutes on in concert. I'll look for my favorite on Youtube and try to get it uploaded.

    I can't even count how many EJ concerts I've been to. I used to live just south of Chicago and I was a monster fan since I was 15 up until and including the Blue Moves album. One year I went 5 nights in a row. I have too many favorite songs, so i'll leave it at the song which was love at first sight - Your Song.

    My favorite Concert song was easily - Daniel. the one on this lens was an earlier version of the way he used to do it. I'll try to upload a later version. He could easily do 20-30 minutes of Daniel and is was GREAT!

    It's really too bad so many people think of him as "just" a teenybopper musician. I think he was a genius, at least in the early years, with Bernie. Oh, one more thing. I remember listening to an interview with him and Bernie. the guy was asking what a particular song meant. Bernie said, I just write them, I don't know what they mean - with a smile on his face. Bob Dylan said the same thing :)

    Beautifully done lens on one of my favorite performers. A few of the songs above are among my all time favorites, but you left out Rocketman and Benny and the Jets. 5 stars to you.

    Great lens - my first Elton John experience was the album "Tumbleweed Connection". Don't know if I could pick my favourite song though, there's too many! 5*

    It seems like I've been an Elton John fan as long as I can remember. I voted for Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" as my fave, but if I had been able to choose several, "Daniel" and "Rocket Man" would have gotten my vote also. Great Job!
