Elvis takes a stab at some blue-eyed soul with this fine tune, originally done by Chuck Jackson.

"Any Day Now" is another fine song, with music by Burt Bacharach. Typically, the melody has unusual contours, and the arrangement produces strange sonorities from the orchestra: now an oboe solo, now a few bars of solo violin, now the deep and solid brass sound. Presley gives a staggering performance: powerful, wide ranging, full of expression.
