The online dating scene can get very interesting to say the least and to add to the intrigue, the person who your chatting with can be from anywhere in the nation (who know, maybe anywhere in the world). There are a few things to think about when you're email each other:

1. Talk about the other person more
2. Be light and fresh. Don't jump into anything serious at the onset.
3. Email them using correct english.
4. Don't Be Pushy. People can really sense urgency and scare them away.
5. Keep your correspondences short and to the point.
6. Don't tell them your life story. It may overwhelm them.
7. Review your email message or profile bio before sending it
8. Compliments go a long way. Not too much now, then it seems forced
9. Don't pretend to be someone you're not.
10. Exude confidence, not arrogance.

The list can go on and on, and probably a lot will have variations to what is on the list. I'm not a professional matchmaker by any means but I believe they're a good start to email online dating.
