eMail Marketing and eMail Advertising

Ranked #12,183 in Internet, #430,113 overall

Email Marketing is still and probably for long times to come the most effective and inexpensive promoting on the Internet

E-mail marketing - e-mail advertising - what is the difference?

Subscribing to to newsletters almost every day, I see that many Internet marketers don't seem to know that.

But from the usual name of the e-mail "Newsletter" it should be clear, that the recipient expects some useful news, not plain advertising every day, or even twice daily. This results in unsubscribing, at least by me.

What most Email marketers ignore also is, that everyone subscribes to many newsletters, because everyone is striving to build his list. And nobody can read hundred emails per day. So most are deleted.

This results in a struggle to find the perfect headline. But the funny thing is, whenever one of the Gurus suggests something, everyone is using it and sending out an email with the same headline, mostly within the same two days. Even when with other things each ones is relatively unique, with their email marketing they are not. After a good start, with an email-course perhaps, their email-marketing lows down into email-advertising.

Of course one builds a list to advertise, and email advertising to a audience who knows the marketer is still better than safelist advertising, but as evryone does it, it will probably not convert well, and the list will shrink.

Advertising with safelists or building something quite like an own list, just without cost with a listbuilder, can work as well.

There is more to marketing than just advertising this refers to email as well. this lens is abot both, email marketing and email advertising.
