Emerge... and celebrate

I've decided to take the risk and share a bit about my life in a blog. Starting with my interests and activities seems like a gentle introduction. In the back of my mind I ask myself "why would anyone else be interested in my stuff?" and then I think of all the enjoyment I've received from reading the ever increasing list of Blogline "feeds" to which I have subscribed. My motivation to read blogs ranges from "benign curiosity" to "enjoy their photography" to "I learn from them"; so here's hoping for benign curiosity from others. Perhaps sharing oneself (through comments and blogging) is the way to participate in this community I enjoy so much? Hopefully it will serve as an impetus to do the things I keep thinking I'd like to include in my life.
