Emergency Preparedness In The Home

There have been many people in the last twelve months in the United States that did not have an Emergency Preparedness plan. This country has been hit with floods, fires, earthquakes and hurricanes. The reality of a biological threat is a real concern these days as well. How many people in the U.S. are prepared today? Less than ten percent! As if that is not enough think about the local scene today? The economy?. The layoff's? Businesses closing? Now is why you should have an Emergency Action Plan And Supplies!

We as a nation feel pretty secure in our environment don't we? We have insurance policies for everything! Our cars! Our homes! Our health! Almost every part of our lives is insured, except for our emergencies. We have life insurance as well, but that is not the kind of life insurance we need. We need supplemental life insurance. Why do we have insurance? So that it is there when we need it! So how come so many americans don't have a survival policy? We need a policy of preparedness. We need food storage and water. We need heat and light as well as medications and phone numbers to call and radios. What it all comes down to is that we need an Emergency Preparedness Kit and Supplies!

As with all types of insurance that you could buy the one policy that cannot be purchased is an Emergency Preparedness Policy!There is no policy on the planet that will afford you with food and water and warmth, not to mention light and protection in all forms. No one will do it for you either. Do not expect that the Red Cross will get there in time. Nor will FEMA! And to make things very clear don't expect local relief in the form of police and fire fighters to get to you on time either. It is a big world out there and they will get to you when they can and that could be days or even weeks from the point of the emergency! Remember the saying of the Boy Scouts?"Be Prepared!"The only people that you can count on for your Emergency Preparedness is YOU!

The fact of the matter is that in life emergencies do come up! And they will! When the emergency happens is not the time to think about being prepared. Now is the time to think about being prepared and putting together anEmergency Preparedness Plan.
Here it is: You alone are responsible for your survival and your families survival. So get going and make a plan. Make sure everyone in your family knows what that plan is and how to implement their part in that plan. Have what you need for your families survival. Disasters both natural and man made can happen at anytime in this crazy world that we live in today!Don't think about preparedness when it happens! Be prepared for any emergency NOW!
