Music and Lyrics that Inspire the Soul

Eminem is full of anger and yet he gave us inspiration in his song, Lose Yourself, if you are willing to listen.

Bulgaria gave us a cry for hope in its music that even moved the scientists... who sent it to space. Listen to it below and see what you feel.

"It's a Beautiful Day" by Sarah Brightman is, well, simply beautiful and helps us remember that today is a gift and nothing less.

The Piano, as it's shown here, puts us in touch with the loss and memories of our lives, but its message inspires the spirit to go on.

Does any of this music inspire you? Let me know by leaving a quick note at the bottom of this page before leaving today.

The Piano

One of my all-time favorites EVER!

This one has to be watched and heard, rather than described.

Sarah Brightman - It's a beautiful day

Even my last day will be a beautiful day. So today and all days between to the last breathe, are a gift indeed.

Directly below is a song from Bulgaria that has brought tears to my eyes... but it's a good thing.

One of my all-time favorites. I guess I wasn't the only one who thought so...

This is one of the hand-picked songs included in the voyeger that was sent to space in 1977, among other things, to continuously play music as it floated endlessly beyond the stars... Was this to let the aliens know we are good creatures and not just tastey treats?

(Oh, by the way, I didn't write the text under this video... that was written by whoever posted this video on YouTube originally).

CLICK the VIDEO TO PLAY - but only one click or it opens a new window and plays twice.

I would suggest NOT watching the video but just closing your eyes and listening for a richer experience...

Hi Mike, you are right in saying that we sometimes forget that we are human being, when we are busy with our goals.

Thank you, you are touching others life by being who you are!

We give power to that in which we focus on. If I hate something about someone--they'll show me more of what I hate just to prove their significance. If I focus on what I love about someone they'll show me more of this part of themselves. We get what we see from life and the people in our lives.

I'm sorry but there is no justification that would ever convince me to listen to Eminem....not even one maybe so-so song. He epitomizes a level of our culture that does not lift up but destroys. But this being a free country, you can blog whatever you want....I don't have to listen to it.

Mike.... Excellent lens, coming from you I can't say I'm surprised, just glad to say continue doing what you do!

Another example life is not about what we do as much as "how" we do. Achievement in most cases is always about the journey to get there more than the actual accomplishment itself. The journey holds all the memories!

I feel your loving kindness through your message of song. I knew when I took your first class at Renegade You had a spirit of sharing and giving.
May your days continue to be blessed, many will come to success because of your unselfishness. Keep your heart warm my brother.

Mike, This is outstanding. You have reached so many people on so many levels with the music selections you've choosen. Not to mention the hidden challenge for each reader to reach out and find other selections to inspire themselves. This touched me on a spiritual level and beyond. Thank you for reminding us all what it's really about!

Outstanding Mike. In showing yourself to be human, you inspire; and that ability is key to true leadership. My one dissatisfaction with what I've seen so far in the "attraction model" is that most social networkers are still the same dishonest 'actors-on-stage' that I've witnessed in countless seminars and presentations. You are the real deal.

Music is so powerful -- not only does it affect your mood, but actually improves your brainpower. Students listening to Mozart score higher on their SATs. What I love about this lens is it embraces different genres - all have something to offer. Thanks Mike!

Hi Mike: This is a really great lens. I remember the launch of the Voyager's 1 & 2. The music is great, but to me it brings back memories of the early days of space exploration. I would give it 6 stars if I could!

Lose Yourself by Eminem

Even the Angry Can Inspire!

Eminem is full of anger and it's understandable if you take a step back and look at the upbringing he and many of his peers have had.

We all have our issues, so instead of beating him up I'd like to promote one example of how everyone, even the angry, can give so much inspiration to our lives if we listen.

Here are his lyrics with his video below. Look beyond the appearance to see a greater meaning.

Eminem's Anger Shows Inspiration in Lose Yourself

I can't say I 'like' most of what Eminem seems to represent. But here's an example of how inspiration is all around us if we listen.

(By the way... I didn't write all the text you see to the right and below this video of Eminem... that was written by whoever posted this video originally on YouTube).

Lyrics for Eminem's Lose Yourself

If You Had One Shot Would You Take It?

[Intro]
Look.. if you had.. one shot, or one opportunity

To seize everything you ever wanted.. in one moment
Would you capture it.. or just let it slip? Yo..

[Verse 1]

His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy
There's vomit on his sweater already, mom's spaghetti

He's nervous, but on the surface he looks calm and ready...

to drop bombs, but he keeps on forgetting
what he wrote down, the whole crowd goes so loud

He opens his mouth but the words won't come out

He's chokin, how? Everybody's jokin now

The clock's run out, time's up, over - BLAOW!

Snap back to reality, OHH - there goes gravity

OHH - there goes Rabbit, he choked

He's so mad, but he won't

Give up that easy nope, he won't have it

He knows, his whole back's to these ropes

It don't matter, he's dope

He knows that, but he's broke

He's so sad that he knows

when he goes back to this mobile home, that's when it's...

back to the lab again, yo, this whole rap shit
He better go capture this moment and hope it don't pass him

[Chorus]

You better - lose yourself in the music, the moment

You own it, you better never let it go (go)
You only get one shot, do not miss your chance to blow...

This opportunity comes once in a lifetime

You better - lose yourself in the music, the moment
You own it, you better never let it go (go)

You only get one shot, do not miss your chance to blow

This opportunity comes once in a lifetime

You better..

[Verse 2]

Soul's escaping, through this hole that is gaping
This world is mine for the taking

Make me king, as we move toward a, new world order

A normal life is boring; but superstardom's
close to post-mortem, it only grows harder

Homie grows hotter, he blows it's all over

These hoes is all on him, coast to coast shows

He's known as the Globetrotter

Lonely roads, God only knows

He's grown farther from home, he's no father

He goes home and barely knows his own daughter

But hold your nose cause here goes the cold water

These hoes don't want him no mo', he's cold product

They moved on to the next schmoe who flows

He nose-dove and sold nada, and so the soap opera
is told, it unfolds, I suppose it's old partner
But the beat goes on da-da-dum da-dum da-dah

[Chorus]

[Verse 3]

No more games, I'm a change you call rage

Tear this motherfuckin roof off like two dogs caged

I was playin in the beginning, the mood all changed

I've been chewed up and spit out and booed off stage
But I kept rhymin and stepped right in the next cypher

Best believe somebody's payin the pied piper

All the pain inside amplified by the
fact that I can't get by with my nine to

five and I can't provide the right type of
life for my family, cause man, these God damn
food stamps don't buy diapers, and there's no movie

There's no Mekhi Phifer, this is my life
And these times are so hard, and it's gettin even harder

Tryin to feed and water my seed plus, teeter-totter
Caught up between bein a father and a primadonna
Baby momma drama screamin on her too much for me to wanna

stay in one spot, another day of monotony
has gotten me to the point, I'm like a snail I've got

to formulate a plot, or end up in jail or shot
Success is my only motherfuckin option, failure's not

Mom I love you but this trailer's got to go
I cannot grow old in Salem's Lot

So here I go it's my shot, feet fail me not
This may be the only opportunity that I got

[Chorus]

[Outro]
You can do anything you set your mind to, man

Enigma is Timeless

Peace... Breathe... the Moment is Forever
