Emotionally Focused Therapy: The New Science of Love

Knowing the new Science of Love will help you be successful with couples and in relationships. It will even help you improve your own compassion for others and strengthen relationships in your own life. Imagine improving your therapy skill, having more success in treating couples AND getting happier in your own life all at the same time. We know from recent research (Levenson and Sandberg, 2010) attending an EFT Externship will do just that.

What You'll Learn

The Neural Duet

This is an official Externship, endorse by Susan Johnson's International Centre for Excellence in EFT (ICEEFT) and brought to you by Relationship Services Whakawhanaungatanga.

Attending this externship will help you learn to help couples create lasting change based on this 90% proven effective model.

In this Externship, you will learn to:

* see marital distress from an attachment perspective
* help partners reprocess the emotional responses that maintain marital distress
* shape key new interaction and bonding events and,
* overcome therapeutic impasses.

You will also see Rebecca Jorgensen do a live EFT consultation session with a couple, observation of which is a profound learning experience.

The Externship

The Externship is the initial training for EFT, you must do this before you can enrol in Core Skills. It is open to any counsellor, psychotherapist, psychologist, or social worker with professional training or professional membership enabling them to practice with clients, who is working with or wanting to work with couples.

This externship fulfils the initial externship requirement for certification in Emotionally Focused Therapy.

Relationship Services has worked to keep the cost of this training as low as possible in order that it is accessible to practitioners. In order for this strategy to work we will need to know by the 2nd July that we have enough enrolments to ensure the training can proceed.

The fee for the four day externship is $695 including GST - this covers facilitation costs, a CD of information for you, any course materials, as well as morning and afternoon teas. Accommodation and meals (including lunches) would be at your own cost. This is very inexpensive for this training - it is advertised at $US750-850 in the US to attend. Given the exchange rate this is extraordinary value!

In order to offer the Externship and to keep the fee this low:

We need to receive enrolments and payment of fees by the 2nd July (with cancellations, refunds and substitutions as per the Brochure policy).
If there are not enough enrolments for the training to proceed by the 2nd July we will explore alternatives, and a final decision will be made by the 11th July.
If the event is cancelled by the 11th July due to low enrolments, all fees will be fully reimbursed to participants (other cancellation terms as per brochure).
Given the low price for this training, and the level of demand we have been experiencing, it will pay to enrol early in order to secure a place.

For enrolments or further information download the Externship brochure or contact:
