Our mission is to deliver the best LED products and solutions available.
We will Save our clients money the moment they flip the switch while
creating new standards in environmental responsibility.

What are the Benefits of LED Lighting?
- Reduction in lighting utilities between 55-85%

-Reduction in annual lighting maintenance cost between 70-90%

-Low energy consumption

- Helps businesses achieve carbon reduction commitment

-Improves lighting performance with reduced noise and heat

- No money down financing through BGS Financial for qualified customers

-LED lights produce more light per watt than incandescent and halogen bulbs

Other Benefits

- Lifespan - LED lights last on average 50,000 hours, that is 5 times as long as
the average fluorescent bulbs, and up to 30 times longer than halogen bulbs

-Incandescent and fluorescent bulbs are very fragile; LED lights are made with
solid state components making it difficult to break with external shock

- Toxicity - LED lights do not contain mercury or other
hazardous materials,unlike fluorescent lights

-Benefits your shareholders with fast ROI, customers, employees, environment and community

HVAC Savings

- LED lighting reduces HVAC operating cost because it dramatically reduces the
amount of hear radiated into the space.

- When updating a facilities HVAC system less heat means a smaller HVAC unit.
HVAC Savings

LEDs and their Benefits

What are LEDs

LEDs or Light Emitting Diodes are lights, lamps, bulbs and fixtures that use electronic components as their light source. Unlike traditional incandescent bulbs which utilize a brittle metal filament. The light emitting diodes have no moving parts (known as "solid state") but instead employ an electronic chip protected by a durable capsule.

Efficiency
LEDs consume 50% to 90% less power than conventional light bulbs and last up to 50,000 hours, as opposed to 2,000 hours for incandescent and 7,000 hours for CFLs Compact Fluorescent bulbs. In other words a 100 watt incandescent lamp being used for one year at a cost of $ .12 cents per kilo watt will have an operating energy cost per year of $ 105.00 the equivalent LED Bulb will use approximately $ 22.00 per year. Now multiply the saving by the number of bulbs in your business or your home and you are talking big savings on your electric bills.
Lower energy consumption and a longer life-span mean significant savings in electricity bills, bulb replacement and operating costs.

Longevity and Durability
A life-span of an LED is 50,000 hours this means that if you are using the light an average of five (8) hours a days, you will not have to replace that bulb for about 17 years.
In addition, LED lights are extremely durable. They are built with sturdy components and do not contain fragile elements such as filaments or glass.

Environmental
LEDs are made of recyclable components and do not contain mercury or any other toxic or hazardous materials. The long life-span means that one LED light can save over 25 incandescent lights bulbs from the trash stream.

Quality
LEDs offer better light, with unnoticeable lumen deterioration. Additionally, with LEDs there is no buzzing or flickering, resulting in better work performance.

Color
LEDs come in a variety of colors and do not require the use of inefficient filters. Our "warm white" bulbs produce a color that is very similar to traditional incandescent light bulbs.

Safety / Heat
LEDs convert more energy to light instead of heat. As a result, they produce up to 90% less heat than incandescent lights. LEDs run cool to the touch, significantly reducing the risk of fires or burns. This also help reduce your cooling loads on HVAC equipment.

Did You Know
LEDs s do not attract bugs like fluorescent and incandescent bulbs, so they are ideal for exterior lighting applications.
Also LED light has been shown to improve the shelf life of meats , fruits, and vegetables in a super market settings.

LED Lights

Light emitting diodes, or LEDs, offer
better light quality than incandescent
bulbs, last 25 times as long, and use
even less energy than CFLs. Look for
ENERGY STAR qualified LED products at
home improvement centers and lighting
showrooms.

Fluorescent Energy Efficiency Guidelines

Fluorescent Energy Efficiency Guidelines

Linear Fluorescent lighting energy efficiency is dependent on the lamp/ballast system.

Typical configuration options for office / classroom applications:

T12 system: 40W bulb + magnetic ballast = lowest efficiency (Federal regulations require phase out of T12 system by 2012)
Standard T8 system: 32W bulb + electronic ballast = higher efficiency
Advanced T8 system: 30W, 28W or 25W bulbs + compatible electronic ballast = highest efficiency

Retrofit Energy Savings Estimates:

From T12 system to Standard T8 system - 25% energy savings
From T12 system to Advanced T8 system - 43% energy savings
From Standard T8 system to Advanced T8 system - 12% energy savings

Outdoor Lighting

Because outdoor lights are usually
left on a long time, using LEDs
in these fixtures will save a lot of
energy. LEDs can be
used in enclosed fixtures that protect
them from the weather. LEDs love the cold

Did You Know

The light emitted from LED Lighting does not attract bugs like incandescent or fluorescent lighting does.

I'll be sad to see them go although they are bad for the environment. Can you find LED's that are 3 way bulbs or do you just have to put dimmer switches in your lamps? Blessed by a Squid Angel!
  • Esteemmarketing Jan 27, 2012 @ 9:45 pm | delete
Some LEDs have what they call step dimming the ability to take the light down through predetermined increments, much like a three way bulb. LEDs work great with a dimmer also which makes them stand out from CFL bulbs.

Thanks for visiting and squidliking my lens ...

You have a pretty good lens here about bulbs ... maybe you should consider creating several more and link them together ... for better ranking in search engines ...
  • Esteemmarketing Jan 16, 2012 @ 7:33 pm | delete
I have a few more in the works, I am putting final touches on. Thanks for the comments.
  • COUNTRYLUTHIER Jan 14, 2012 @ 9:02 pm | delete
It appears you certainly know your bulbs. I bought 2 T-8s and was put off by the price of regular fluorescent.
  • Esteemmarketing Jan 15, 2012 @ 9:33 pm | delete
The only way to get a good price is to buy them in bulk and I am talking by the truck load other than that your going to pay premium for a couple at a time. The way to go though is LED your looking at up to 25 years before replacement and you would 75% on the energy as compared to a two bulb t8 fixture, no bulb or ballast costs, and no maintenance costs for 25 years.
