Enchanting 101

Enchanting is both a crafting and gathering profession. You gather items that are green or better, disenchant them for their materials, then turn around either sell those materials or use them on enchants of your own. Various pieces of armor and weapons can be enchanted with everything from stat boosts to damage effects.
Disenchanting items can be a trade in itself, though you will have to enchant items to level up.

Making money with enchanting can be two-fold. First, you can disenchant materials from items, sell them, and make a good profit. Secondly, you can provide an enchanting service for other players in the game. This usually means hawking your goods and services in the trade channel of a big city. It will require patience, but if you do it the right way, you'll be good to go with the money, especially if you get certain enchants people like for twink weapons like fiery, icy, crusader, or lifestealing.
