This Psalm reminds me that Christ is my solid foundation. The Rock on which I have built my life on and that no matter what storms come my way, I will remain firmly planted in Him as I trust in Him.

I'm also reminded that in my life, I will be faced with challenges and trials, but that if I trust in the Lord, He will be my shield, my stronghold, my salvation and deliver me...like He always has!

In Psalm 27, King David again exalts the Lord who is mighty to deliver and save. We go through darkness and storms in our lives and David was one who encountered these all throughout his life. He reminds us that if we continue to trust in the Lord, we don't need to fear because He will shine His light and show us the way.

Psalm 23 is my favourite Psalm as it summarizes what you can expect as you follow the Lord. King David, who was a Shepherd before he became King, compares himself as a sheep in the care of His Shepherd, Christ.

What I like about this Psalm is that it is clear that in life, we will be faced with hardship, trials and storms, but by trusting in the Lord and continually walking in faith, we can overcome all and have the victory.

Basically, it helps me look at challenges as opportunities, stumbling blocks as stepping stones!

1 Corinthians 13 is a powerful scripture that talks about supremacy of LOVE, not the worldly love, but unconditional love. The kind of love that makes one give their life for the other - the love of God. It shows how one can be giving and yet not loving because I could be giving out of selfish reasons.
