Complementary and Alternative Medicine Lensography
I have been interested in alternative healing methods for around 20 years now, ever since I studied Martha Rogers and Rogerian Nursing Theory while at university earning my BSN in the 1980s.
That was my introduction to Open Systems Theories and things such as Therapeutic Touch. Later, I began to explore other alternative healing methods such as Herbal Medicine, Aromatherapy, and Reiki.
Reiki
I have studied Reiki since 1993 and obtained my Master Teacher Practitioner status in 1998.
Herbal Medicine
My interest here has so far been entirely self-taught. I generally will tell people that I have just enough knowledge to make me dangerous.
My main focus at this point is still on energy and energy healing techniques.

- I got into Reiki before but did not pursue it. I have to be more focused on some interests I have.

- I believe one day very soon modern medical practioners will realise that alternative therapies along with traditional medicines have a solid place in wellness.

- I was sceptical about trying Reiki, but after an accident at work, I was willing to try anything! I found reiki so uplifting, and its effects lasted for a while, which in turn meant less painkillers I was over the moon with it.
