Night lights are necessary to include in your lighting decor because they make everyone in the household feel comfortable in the middle of the night. They help kids go to sleep who are afraid of a pitch dark room. The small amount of light emitted by these lights give kids of all ages that sense of security and comfort since there will never be total darkness in the room. When they are awake at night, they will be able to see their familiar surroundings without being burden by a bright light that might hamper them getting back to sleep. The only draw backs about LED night lights are light dispersion and price. The number of lamps the LED uses is important to give that even glow. Ones with 2 or 3 diodes may have inconsistent lighting, resulting in shadows. LED also work best used in lamps that have a vertical position for the bulb. Horizontal lamps will create a lot of shadow and may render the nightlight pointless. As for price, typically these little bulbs can be anywhere up to $10 each, making them expensive. However, they will probably be the only bulb you will need to buy and makes it worthwhile, knowing that you can just plug it in and walk away.
