English Classes

English Classes, the best way to quickly learn English!

... but what if you can't attend a regularly scheduled English course? What if you're on the road most of the time and never in the same place? Then 'mobile English classes' - read audio books with English courses are the solution!

Pimsler has a series of MP3 audios available for speakers of foreign languages, that are specifically tailored to let you learn English fast, efficiently and with very little effort.

The Pimsleur system works so well because it makes use of our natural ability to assimilate (pick up) a new language by listening and by being exposed to it on a regular basis. So learning English is really mostly an excercise in regularly listening to English language audio books to pick up the knowledge you want:

Learn English in Brighton

Brighton () is a town in the city of Brighton and Hove (formed from the towns of Brighton, Hove, Portslade and several other villages) in East Sussex on the south coast of Great Britain. For administrative purposes, Brighton and Hove is not part of the non-metropolitan county of East Sussex, but remains part of the ceremonial county of East Sussex.

The ancient settlement of Brighthelmston dates from before Domesday Book (1086), but it emerged as a health resort during the 18th Century and became a destination for day-trippers after the arrival of the railway in 1841. Brighton experienced rapid population growth reaching a peak of over 160,000 by 1961.Carder, Timothy (1990). The Encyclopaedia of Brighton. S.127 East Sussex County Libraries. ISBN 0-86147-315-9 Modern Brighton forms part of a conurbation stretching along the coast, with a population of around 480,000.

Eight million tourists a year visit Brighton. The town also has a substantial business conference industry regularly hosting the Liberal Democrat, Labour Party, occasionally the Conservative Party and Trade Union annual Conferences. Brighton has two universities and a medical school.

Southampton - Learn English in Southampton

City on South coast of England

Southampton () is the largest city in the ceremonial county of Hampshire on the south coast of England, and is situated south-west of London and north-west of Portsmouth. It lies at the northernmost point of Southampton Water at the confluence of the River Test and River Itchen, with the River Hamble joining to the south of the urban area. The local authority is Southampton City Council, which is a unitary authority.

Significant employers in Southampton include the University of Southampton, the Ford Transit factory, Ordnance Survey, the BBC through Radio Solent and South Today, the NHS and one of the largest commercial ports in Europe. The city represents the core of the Greater Southampton region, and the town itself has an estimated population of 234,600 (MYE 2008). The city's name is sometimes abbreviated in writing to "So'ton" or "Soton", and a resident of Southampton is called a Category: :Category - :People from Southampton|Sotonian. Southampton is noted for its association with the , the Spitfire and more recently a number of the largest cruise ships in the world.

Bristol - Learn English in Bristol - UK

Learning English in Bristol

Bristol () is a city, unitary authority area and ceremonial county in South West England, west of London, and east of Cardiff.

With an estimated population of 416,400 for the unitary authority in mid-2007,

and a surrounding urban area with an estimated 561,500 residents, it is England's sixth, and the United Kingdom's eighth most populous city, one of the group of English Core Cities and the most populous city in South West England. It received a Royal Charter in 1155 and was granted County status in 1373. From the 13th century, for half a millennium, it ranked amongst the top three English cities after London, alongside York and Norwich,

until the rapid rise of Liverpool, Birmingham and Manchester during the Industrial Revolution in the latter part of the 18th century. It borders the counties of Somerset and Gloucestershire, and is also located near the historic cities of Bath to the south east and Gloucester to the north. The city is built around the River Avon, and it also has a short coastline on the estuary of the River Severn where it flows into the Bristol Channel.

Bristol is the largest centre of culture, employment and education in the region. Its prosperity has been linked with the sea since its earliest days. The commercial Port of Bristol was originally in the city centre before being moved to the Severn Estuary at Avonmouth; Royal Portbury Dock is on the western edge of the city boundary. In more recent years the economy has depended on the creative media, electronics and aerospace industries, and the city centre docks have been regenerated as a centre of heritage and culture. There are 34 other populated places on Earth named Bristol, most in the United States, but also in Peru, Canada, Jamaica and Costa Rica, all presumably commemorating the original.
