A different prespective

Bring the crowd to your open door

If you look at the picture in this module, you likely think it is all about the person trying to open a locked door when there is one that is wide open for him to go through if he would only turn around and see it. But, think differently for a moment. How do you know the person at the locked door did not go through the open door to reach the one that was locked. And, if that is what he did, going back through the open door does him no good. However, it is obvious that he needs to get to whoever or whatever is behind the locked door.

Through the efforts of a nurtured and growing infrastructure, it is possible to get the party behind the locked door to do WORK...due diligence concerning the party wishing to see him. And, it just could happen that this party ends up coming to the open door to meet him. Why would anyone engage in that kind of behavior? Because he convinced himself it was in his best interest.

With a free Gmail account your journey into infrastructure building becomes a great deal easier. Why? Because it is extremely easy to share documents and keep track of those you share them with all at the same time. Network more efficiently in public

Use Cardcloud for your V-Card

I have stopped using ordinary business cards. Instead, I now pass out the business cards of other people with a special link on the back to me. Plus, I share my V-card via email once I receive the business card of other people. This has the potential effect of not only greatly expanding my infrastructure of connections, but those of other people as well. But, that is not all. It can save me the trouble of having to update contact information since all my contact information now resides in a cybercloud...thanks to Cardcloud. As long as I have access to the Internet, I can never lose my contact information. Plus, I am not limited to the creation of a single V-Card with Cardcloud. I can make as many as I want.

Aspects of an action plan

  • Join Squidoo.com. Create an online resume' for yourwself using many of the wonderful modules freely provided by Squidoo. If you have questions, you have access not only to tech support but to Squidoo's famous SquidU - a forum run by volunteers. Want to see an example of a Squidoo-type resume? Take a look at my resume'.
  • Send me your Squidoo resume' link. Once your resume' is uploaded, send me the website link to my email address, lamar@mchsi.com. I will include your link on The Big Lift site (otherwise known as The job campaign).
  • Sparkler Q&A. Compose a "sparkler" question with yourself as the answer. Then, compose an explanation as to why you are the answer to that question.
