Welcome to Tacoma!
Growing up in Tacoma, Washington, my friends and I used to believe there was nothing to do here and all the fun could only be found in Seattle or Portland. Now that I am older and have a family of my own, I have discovered that Tacoma is a fun and wonderful city with so much to offer visitors and natives.
Parks and Zoos
- Metro Parks of Tacoma
- This is the main page to all the parks in Tacoma. Visit our beautiful parks and play.
- Ruston Way
- Take a nice, long walk along the waterfront and eat at any one of the wonderful restaurants.
- W.W. Seymour Botanical Conservatory
- View beautiful and rare plants in the lovely conservatory at Wright's Park located in downtown Tacoma.
- Northwest Trek
- Now, I know Northwest Trek is not in Tacoma, but it is close enough. Take the family on an adventure at Northwest Trek.
- Pt. Defiance Zoo and Aquarium
- Come visit Tacoma's awesome zoo! Polar bears, tigers, walruses, penguins, owls, tapirs, and more!
- Wolf Haven
- Again, this is not in Tacoma, but a trip to Wolf Haven is well worth the ride. Go howl with the wolves!
- Tall Ship Festival
- Come and check out the Tall Ships! They will not be here very long.
- Taste of Tacoma
- Enjoy this annual festival! Bring your appetite.
