Warren Zevon - Enjoy Every Sandwich
Warren Zevon was one of the greatest songwriters of his generation. Even people that have never heard his name are at least passingly familiar with several of his songs. With a writing and performing career that spanned decades, his work was eclectic, and had a sometimes bizarre twist to it.
He was probably best known for songs like "Werewolves of London", "Lawyers Guns & Money" and "Excitable Boy". This type of work earned him the reputation as the "Brian DePalma of RockNRoll".
Warren succumbed to a brain tumor on September 7, 2003. In one of his final TV appearances David Letterman asked Warren what he knew that Letterman himself did not. Warren answered, "Just how much you should enjoy every sandwich."
Warren's music has enjoyed a resurgence in popularity by both fans and musicians covering his songs since his death.
