What's the plot behind Enter the Dragon?

The best martial arts movie of the 70's - Enter The Dragon

Bruce Lee plays a member of the Shaolin Temple and is asked by a man to go to a tournament that is being held on an island that belongs to a man named Han, who is a former Shaolin monk, who went renegade. The man tells Lee that they believe that Han is involved in Opium trade and white slavery. He wants Lee to go there and try and get him the evidence they need so that they can go there and arrest Han. Lee agrees but is then also told that Han's men tried to abduct his sister three years ago and rather than submit she committed suicide. Lee now has a personal stake. Also going to the tournament is a man named Roper who is in a financial bind with some men, who collect one way or another, and Roper is hoping to find a way out of the hole he is in.

What is The National Film Registry Award?

The National Film Registry is the registry of films selected by the United States National Film Preservation Board for preservation in the Library of Congress. The board, established by the National Film Preservation Act of 1988, was reauthorized in 1992, 1996, and 2005 by acts of Congress. The 1996 law also created the non-profit National Film Preservation Foundation, which is affiliated with the National Film Preservation Board but which raises money from the private sector.

Enter The Dragon was released in 1973

It was the first kung fu film to have been made by a major Hollywood studio and was produced in association with Golden Harvest and Lee's Concord Production Company. The film is largely set in Hong Kong.

Among the stuntmen for the film were members of the Seven Little Fortunes, including Jackie Chan and Sammo Hung. This was arguably instrumental in Chan and Hung's further association with Golden Harvest studios, which later launched their careers. The portly Hung is shown fighting Lee in the opening sequence of the movie.

The finished version of the film was significantly different from the original screenplay drafts as Bruce Lee revised much of the script himself, including having written and directed the film's opening Shaolin Temple fight sequence. Lee wanted to use the film as a vehicle for expressing what he saw as the beauty of his Chinese culture, rather than it being just another action movie

Enter the Dragon () aka. The Deadly Three, originally titled Blood and Steel is a 1973 American martial arts film directed by Robert Clouse; starring martial artists Bruce Lee and Jim Kelly, as well as actor John Saxon. It is the last completed film Bruce Lee appeared in before his death. He died six days before the film was set to be released.

In 2004, Enter the Dragon was deemed "culturally significant" and selected for preservation in the National Film Registry.

Bruce Lee fans or cinematic enthusiasts will find this book interesting. There is not much depth of the insight into Bruce, however, when Robert Clouse provides it, it's quite revealing. Examples include Bruce's method of developing his concentration skills and how he practiced for a possible fight against Mohammed Ali.

I have owned this book! This is a book that every serious Bruce Lee fan should own. It covers all aspects of Making Enter The Dragon. The pictures are great photos and some are rare. Most photos of Bruce Lee have been seen, but still a great book for the Bruce Lee collector!
