eNutritionCare.com - Helping weight loss surgery candidates with insurance qualification and nutrition planning for the Post-Op Patient

This lens is to let people know there is a source for one on one nutrition counseling by a Registered Dietitian over the Web.  "You get to do it in your fuzzy slippers." http://www.enutritioncare.com/

Stuff you get at eNutritionCare.com in a list

For those of you who are in a hurry and like bullet points

A list of things I would like to say on the web site, but they will not let me.
  • No Canned Diets! You won't get the South Dakota diet here. Every nutrition regimen that is created, is created just for you. Regardless of what those other web sites say, these canned diets can harm you, especially if you have any underlying conditions.
  • Little Miss Suzie Q Nutritionist/Pilate's instructor at your local gym does not work with us. We only have clinical Registered Dietitians that work with us. These people went to college to do this and they all have worked in hospitals as a Dietitian. Please don't let someone who's taken a weekend class or call themselves a "Holistic Nutritionist"(there's no such legitimate accreditation) help you with nutrition. It's much too important for that.(I write about this below)
  • We do not sell supplements! Now for post-op WLS patients supplements are important, but there are a lot of good sources for supplements. We feel it would wrong to say, "oh, you need this type of B vitamin and by the way we sell it." We feel that would cheapen the information. We want you to come to us for the quality of the information and for the great service.
  • Can you do the Weight Loss without Surgery qualification that some insurance companies ask for? Absolutely! We off a 3 visit to a 6 visit program or we can customize it just for your needs. Along with the weight loss program you receive documentation that you have completed the program.
  • Do you do the pre-op nutrition counseling for gastric bypass or lap band? We do! We provide the counseling and the documentation for your surgeon.
  • Is there a live person at eNutritionCare.com and can we contact them? Over course we are live and you can call us. All of the nutrition counseling must be done on our secure web site, you are more than welcome to call and speak with us. If enough people call and ask for me, maybe they will get me my own phone.
  • Are you HIPPA compliant? Absolutely we are HIPPA compliant. I have absolutely no idea what HIPPA is, but I've been told by our crack technical staff that we are HIPPA compliant. Apparently it is really good to be compliant. They tell me it has something to do with your personal information being secure and how we never send personal information through email.
  • What can you do for the post-op Weight Loss Surgery patient? Everything, but deliver and cook the meals for you. We can help you with all the stages of your new nutrition regimen regardless of what surgery procedure you have had. (malabsorptive or restrictive) We can work with your surgeon, if he or she has made any changes to the perscribed diet stages.

An example of what we can do for you

While you're in your fuzzy slippers

OK, let's say you are thinking about getting Weight Loss Surgery (WLS), but your insurance company requires you to have tried to lose weight first without surgery and that it must be documented. We can help, we have a 3 month (3 visits) to 6 month (6 visits) weight loss without surgery program that you can do from your home computer or your office (if the boss isn't watching) or from Starbucks while your drinking your Venti Komodo Dragon (with non-fat milk). There are no monthly fees, you just pay for the services that you use. Everything is documented and sent to your surgeon with a letter from your Registered Dietitian. A 3 visit package, which is what is typically required, is $105.00. We can submit you a super bill and you can submit it to your insurance company for reimbursement.

We offer the same type of services if you are a post-op patient and would rather do your nutrition care from your local wi-fi hot spot rather then your Doc's office. You can also track your cholesterol, Hemoglobin A1c, weight and hip measurements to watch your progress, all for free.

eNutritionCare.com Has Been Busy

There are a lot of people wearing fuzzy slippers

Four of our top Registered Dietitians are moderating the Diet and Nutrition forum at http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/nutrition/. They are on the forum daily answering questions helping members with their diet and nutrition issues.

The ObesityHellp.com community is terrific, they are really well informed and their contributions make the forums a lot of fun and a great source of support and information. So stop by, join and contribute, it's also great place to make friends.

My Rant on Suzy Q Pilate's Instructor/Nutritionist

I want to be a Brain Surgeon. I wonder if there is a weekend class?

"I will just go down to my gym and speak to Suzy Q, my Pilate's instructor/nutritionist. She'll help me, she must know everything about nutrition, cause she's a 'nutritionist'." STOP, nothing against Suzy Q, well nothing against her being a Pilate's instructor, but a nutritionist, NO! If you are going to talk to someone about nutrition, please speak with a Registered Dietitian. These people actually went to college to become a Registered Dietitian, they've interned in a hospital. Suzy Q couldn't get a job in hospital even if her life depended on it. Well, maybe in the gift shop?

A Registered Dietitian is the expert on Nutrition and Nutrition Counseling!

Nice to see real professionals on board instead of a computer generated advertisement. A personalized diet is more realistic than dry toast for breakfast and endless carrots

This site and the idea behind this is great! I have several friends that could use this service as one is considering weight loss surgery, one is a newly diagnosed diabetic and the other was just diagnosed with Celiac Sprue! Thanks!!
