I am so surprised this page does not rate higher - it has great info !

I moved your Severn Suzuki page from the right sidebar widget to the center of the page, but it's still a featured page. I also spent the last 30 days adding alot of content at http://www.squidoo.com/environmentally-green and created 2 more green pages - one on green beauty products and one on eco-transit-and-eco-travel - (That's my newest)

Great site! I faved a lot of lenses from it, this too! :)
To your question: I use biodegradable cleaning products, cruelty-free clothing and beauty products, I try not to use plastic, I don't eat animals.

We recycle, we compost, we changed the bulbs, we use safe products over hazardous ones, we carry reusable bags with us, and we encourage others whenever we can to do the same.

This is a marvelous lensography! Thanks tons for featuring my Dr. Bronner lens, it is a product we love using.
  • JaguarJulie Jul 19, 2009 @ 8:12 am | delete
My dear, we are trying our hardest to be environmentally-friendly every day. We do recycle in the large blue bin -- but you know what -- the trash collectors don't always pick up our recycle because it's not IN the blue bin, but next to it. I am very conscious of what I put at our curb and get confused when it gets left for me to put out the following week. They are picky about the styrofoam that has the recycle mark. But aside from that, we each have to do our part as best we can. I love the idea that you've included a badge with code for us to display on our lenses! Thank you.

Thank you for featuring my new lensography! I'm going to lensroll it as it as soon as it's featured on Squidoo (still red today).

Reducing your emissions from your car and home are probably the most urgent and important aspects of going green right now, so that would be my biggest tip. Great picks!

Just used your plexo to add our paint disposal lens, thanks for offering it! The biggest thing we do is save all of our plastic bottles (to recycle), use filtered tap water. It cuts down on our waste enormously.

I use cloth grocery bags, used cloth diapers from my children, breastfed them when they were babies, recycle, conserve electricity, want to get solar panels, conserve water, grow our own vegetables, buy local, recycle.

Yep, we DO recycle -- we were even bringing home the recycle bin from work, but I think we gave the recycle guys the wrong impression of our house! When I recycled as a single person, I used to separate it, but trying to get hubby to separate is a bit of a challenge. Probably the bulk is bottles and newspaper. I also donate bags and bags of clothing/shoes/accessories every year to the Salvation Army and Goodwill. And, this Friday, we have the Salvation Army picking up a sofa, 2 loveseats, and a recliner some clothing.
  • spirituality Jun 12, 2008 @ 3:31 am | delete
I do recycle glass and paper. I bike and walk to most of my destinations and use public transportation a lot.
